I am surprised you guys/ girls are still depending on their twitter feed, even after their no-sense tweets regarding the ending.

Commander Bailey isn't my friend. He's a bad cop. I don't understand why Shepard would ever tell him he deserved to be promoted.

He gets the job done. Doesn't let red tape get in the way of saving lives.

Definitely a trusted friend of my Shepard.

This is from Mac Walters.

He would know what happens because he wrote it.

Yet another example of information that should have been in the damned game itself, not revealed on some guy's twitter page (regardless of whether or not said guy is a developer, producer, writer or director who worked on the game).

yeah... this whole thing has been dissapointing

He never said the citadel blows up, just bad times for those on board when the reapers take it. This actually happens, This doesn't imply the blowing up part. Bad times because the reapers invaded it.

IT still holds some hope...

I do think it's pretty clear people are dead as you crawl through the hallway of bodies though...

I wonder how many lives he saved by letting off attempted assassins with community service every time they reminded him too much of his home life or by taking bribes from human crime bosses. I say the one upside about everyone dying on the Citadel means he never got the chance to be promoted to Executor.

I'm so glad we invested so much time and credits into a citadel defense force.

The Citadel didn't die in the indoc theory, because Shepard never makes it to the Citadel. You've got to take into account that the person asking the question was asking in relation to the Citadel blowing up.

Sidestepping your aggravation, I'd say that this is not actually clear.

Weren't the arms closed before the Citadel was transported? That would mean that they could have died at any point from leaving Widow to being brought into Earth's orbit. Personally, I always took it to mean that they somehow met their end when the Reapers took control or during transit (everybody is already dead by the time you beam aboard), although I do think your interpretation has more merit to be honest.

I'm not inclined to see the activity on the Wards as proof that people were still alive, since they did the same thing during Sovereign's attack (I guess maybe it looks neater or something to have all the moving lights).

I think those were transported from Earth.

They're being brought aboard to be squeezed into Reaper juice.

A lot. He would've saved a lot of lives by doing the deeds necessary to keep **** under control. I salute the man.

Well, I don't get how the citadel which was overtaken by a FLEET of Reapers, and since guarded by a FLEET of Reapers, after which the only way to the Citadel was through the "beam of light"... can possibly allow Aria, Liara's dad, Barla von, Bailey, all the remaining Batarians etc. to sneak off quietly. After which, the citadel was blown up.

Here are the canon consequences of the Ending etc. that are not disputed:
Citadel destroyed. Mass Relays destroyed.

The citadel can close and become un-penetrable .

The panel at the council office/air traffic control are the only ways to open/close it. Hence why sovereign needed Saren to use the conduit to gain access and close it.

So how did the reapers take over the citadel..maybe with overwhelming force when the citadel fleets went back to their own world (or to hackett) so they had all the time in the world to hack it. Or an indoctrinated agent inside the citadel. It can easily make sense.

But Was a cutscene to much to ask for?...with the guaranteed speculation regarding the last 30 minutes surely leaving in more blanks for us to fill with our imagination just starts eating away at everything.

I always thought they closed the arms, because the "insides" are more vulnerable to atack?

I didn't pay 60$ to get a link to some Twitter account. That's just lame, lazy and another reason to not buy anymore BW products.

Excellet point...so what was the real point of that if it was anihilated when the reapers invaded the citadel, obviously should have no bearing on how the game ends seeing as they are mostly dead.....

So maybe for the next Bioware game players can just pay $60 to be able to contact a private twitter account that will tell them what happens?

@Bioware So what happens after I beat the game?

@Player Rocks fall, everyone dies.

IT would not nec. be disproved because the Reapers took control of the Citadel before moving it. The fact that cars are still whizzing by Shepard as he stands on the Citadel points MORE towards IT since nobody in their right mind would go for a Sunday drive with Reapers all over the place.

No they weren't. They may be from Earth but they can't be liquified. You have to be alive to be successfully liquified. See ME2.

 First post. Go easy.

I don't recall anyone saying that the place had been evacuated and you clearly see 'Johnny Citadel' going about his day driving around when arguing with Tim and Andy before the end.

You think that Stupid Kid/starchild etc deliberately left that info out to Shep when telling him what to do?

"Doing this will destroy The Citadel killing everyone on board regardless of the decision you make, including your friend Commander Bailey and various others you respect ... *whispers* it's ok, I won't warn Aria either..."

It wasn't in the story-line and we don't know if they were able to escape.

Ok.. so if Aria dies on the Citadel then will someone explain the point of "Retake Omega DLC" ? I mean, yeah if it happens before the Citadel events it could sort of make sense but why would Aria go back to the Citadel? Not that I can see how going back to Omega would add to the overall storyline in any fashion but it's heavily implied at the end of Invasion that we're going there at some point.
