If you couldn't follow the narrative closely enough, or give the major themes due contemplation, then maybe you should just call it a day and leave.

The ending made sense. I get that you dislike it, but whining like a child is just rather sad. Good day.

The ending makes no sense.

Good day.

So blacqout, are you gonna answer my questions? I don't mean to press you on this, but I NEED to press you on this. Mass Effect is my love, and I feel like I'm going through a heartbreaking breakup that you might be able to resolve.

Blacqout doesn't know it. I've seen him post a reponse to this question once. He edited that response and made into the "if you didn't understand the ending then you didn't follow the story close enough". Oh, his answer made as much sense as a slug jumping into a pile of salt.

The man (or in my opinion, boy) doesn't understand as much as he's trying to make it seem like.

And Blacqout, "expressing" an unpopular view generally implies that you've explained it, you have not explained anything about the ending that would actually fit into ME narrative.

I'll get to it. I'm sure that you can appreciate the difficulty in having to respond to many different people at once.

It'll have to be later though, as i'm going out to watch the Barcelona versus AC Milan match, so i can email Chelsea FC my tactical advice for the Champions League semi final, in the hope it'll be passed along to Roberto Di Matteo.

Dasvidania.

You do realize that it's not your unpopular opinion that makes you a troll. It's the condecending, and incredibly arrogant way you present your argument. Insinuating that those who don't see it your way are just lacking in intelligence is the very definition of trolling.

Just so we're clear. If you have to ask what art represents, it doesn't.

Under the bridge lies a lonesome troll
Waiting for you to take a stroll
To snatch you, grab you, throw you in a hole
Beware, beware the troll

Guess I'll have to wait for the DLC after all. I hear it's only clarification? I'm not sure that will resolve the problem.

Complaining about a product you bought and are disappointed in is part of being a responsible consumer not a child.
The ending does not make sense.    Extensive thought has been put into the ending by numerous people and a clear majority disagree with you that it either makes sense, or holds true to the themes of the game.

It is difficult to imagine a post being more inaccurate than this one.  Too many words and no profanity, so I can't imagine you are 100% troll.  Half troll perhaps?  From your Mother or Fathers side?

The ending made sense if this was like the only game in the series, but if you add 1-2 it just dont.

Edit: Seems my post was deleted for some reason.

Gist of it was that blacquot hadnt answered my questions, maybe only a fifth of them. Which seems to be common whenever I ask pro ending people these questions.

This Cat is clearly Delusional on many Levels. And no he will never be able to answer your Questions MetalCargo, becuz he has no idea how to so he skirts the issue and focus' on the people he can more easily flame/troll but you presented him with an actual well thought out qustion and cited why you didnt like/understand the way the endings went so no he will never be able to give u the closure u desire.

As i said he is delusional. I mean look he clearly thinks that Chelsea is going to use HIS advice and Gameplan in their Match i mean really ?? Do you th ink if i emailed The Toronto Bluejays My thought on their Line up and Pitching rotation, no matter whom i "Knew" that is close to the team, That they would even actually READ the email much less put it into Use?? no and any human being with sense would realize that.

And before someone yells "well thats what were doing to BioWare right now" no were not they asked for feed back and the fans are giving it. Do i think they will Listen ? Probably. Do i think they will redesign the whole end to fit one fans vision of the end? Not a chance. Do i think BW will fix/change the ending in any real and meaningful way at all? Most Likely not . And thats their right just as it is my right and other fans right to not Purchase BW Profucts and DLC anymore.

Actually, toolbox, i have dispensed much wisdom throughout the course of this discussion. I explained Shepard's behaviour during the conversation with the Catalyst, i explained the Normandy scene, i explained TIM's controlling Shepard, i explained why no one saw Anderson or Shepard reach the beam, and i explained many more things and answered many more questions.

You are now a documented liar. Congratulations.

Barcelona were winning 3-1 when i left, meaning Chelsea will face them in the semi finals (provided they get past Benfica - which they will, thanks to the letter i wrote explaining how to pacify the threat posed by Oscar Cordoza). I will soon send off an email with advice on how to nullify the Messi problem, and explain why Di Matteo must pick an Essien, Lampard and Mikel midfield.

I do this more because i like football, and it's fun to have a documented record of my thoughts to show my friends after the game, especially when my thoughts are shown to be correct, as is almost always the case.

Just to add the questions to the mix i posted earlier in the form of a link This is just to make the plotholes obvious and are questions that for the most part do need a definitive answer for the ending to work.

A few could probably be skirted around and a couple are nitpicky but all those relating to me1 and me2, along with most on me3 are important

Thought id make a list of plot holes and inconsistencies for those questioning whether they exist. If you can answer all these with solid evidence from the games/wiki or novels then we will accept the current endings are fitting

EDIT: Thanks to bucyrus5000 for help consolidating this thread
This thread is intended to show the scale of errors in the current ending, showing just how it does not function as an ending.

I did some cleaning up of the topic, I hope it helps.
[quote]Ending Critizisims, Complaints, Plotholes, & Inconsistencies...

ME1
- Why didn't Starchild undo the Prothean's sabotage or help Saren &
Sovereign given his total ability to control the Citadel?
ME1 - Why does sovereign tell us we can't comprehend his motivations, then they are explained simply in ME3?
ME1
- Vigil says the reapers control the mass relays when they control the
citadel and could turn them off, why didn't they do so when they brought
the Citadel to Earth to prevent the allies from attacking?
ME1 -
Saren and Sovereign lead some of the geth out of the veil to go to war
with the rest of the galaxy, if not then there wouldn't have been a war
between the geth and Quarians, so reapers woudln't need to harvest
advanced civilisations?
ME2 - What was the point of the human
reaper or the collectors? Them ME3 development team pasted up a great
opportunity to add some action at TIM's base; we could have had a
Cerberus built Reaper to fight or use in the coming battle. They could
have explained the whole point of ME2 in a short dialog or cutscene.
ME2 - Why did the relay exploding destory the system in arrival, but didn't in ME3?
ME2
- What happened to the dark energy idea that has been shadowed through 3
games? If dark energy isnt resolved then wont it destory every sun (2
already in me2 ageing prematurely), and so wont saving the universe be
irrelevant?
ME3 - Why is Conrad Verners dark energy dissertation considered a war asset if dark energy is irrelavnt?
ME3 - Why does James complain about hearing a humming noise aboard the normandy? (a la indoctrination?)
ME3 - How is reapers killing organics any better than synthetics built by organics killing the organics?
ME3
- Why didn't the reapers guide organics not to build synthetics, or
build into themselves cybernetics to keep up with synthetic's
advancement, rather than coming back every 50K years to kill advanced
civilisations?
ME3 - Why does shepard accept that Starchild, the boss of his enemy, tells him?
ME3 - Why doesn't shepard question Starchild or mention peace with Geth or EDI?
ME3 - How does the DNA of shepard allow for synthesis of synthetic and organic DNA?
ME3
- Why would synthetics possibly have DNA, given its a very poor method
to store information that is corrupted on every replication?
ME3
- What would prevent the people from making new synthetics, under the
synthesis ending? If they make a robot, does it magically turn into a
dog?
ME3 - Why does sheapard seem to wake up on earth; di he hallucinate/dream the ending, or did he fall from the blown up Citadel?
ME3 - Why is the citadel made of concrete?
ME3 - Why does the catalyst look like the child?
ME3 - Where was the normandy going?
ME3 - How come the normandy dropping out of FTL travel doesnt kill the crew, despite ME1 saying it would?
ME3 - How does the crew survive the crash?
ME3 - Why are my squadmates from earth on the Normandy?
ME3 - Where is the planet they crash landed on?
ME3 - How can shepard breath in space when talking to the catalyst?
ME3 - How can shepard run to the destroy or synthesis ending, given his previous physical state?
ME3 - Does the destroy ending wipe out all the ships in sol (all advanced technology destroyed)?
Sorry about the quality of the formatting - it didnt translate too well between threads, a more readable version is avaliable through the link i posted earlier.

Again, these are posted by a number of contributors, some original questions were answered. Answers require sources (either the games or the books) or only relatively small amounts of speculation. Answering completely based on speculation is a slippery slope and potential can make any plot hole from any series explainable.

I wonder how pro-enders will feel if the upcoming DLC is not what we've been told, but rather a some thing along the lines of IT where the story continues afterwards with a potentially better ending.

The ending made sense?  Are you ****ing high?

Some drugs do aid higher thinking. The guy that discovered the double helix nature of DNA did so while high on LSD.

It's unnecessary for me, being a genius, but perhaps you should play the ending again, while under the influence. You might be able to make more sense of it.

Lawl? Nice trolling by the way, establishing a smug sense of superiority, linking what I can only imagine is your 'creative blog' not that I would give it traffic. Anyone that claims to be a genius over the internet, well, shouldn't be (or is an engineer).

Your responses and replies have not given me much hope that you are a creative master. Instead, they point to a self-important person that counters what he views as a whiney, childish group with pomp and arrogance.

A more creative individual would attempt to engage the group, glean something unique and amazing, rather than toss it off as immature.

You see, this movement is merely a infant, the growing awareness of a consumer group, the Mass Effect ending has little to do with it other than being a catalyst. This infant, if it survives, may grow into a consumer voice for the gamer.

Now being based on the internet, this growth faces significant hurdles that aren’t issues for similar entities that don’t rely on social media. I hope they can overcome these challenges, but I’m not going to hold my breath.
