Mass Effect 3 desperately needs (apart from the ending thing) more hub worlds and ILIUM

Just Citadel? It is not even as big as in ME1, but this is not the main issue, it is the fact that with Mass Effect 2 you visited some of the most amazing sci fi places in the Mass Effect Universe, like Ilium and Omega.
Especially Ilium... i consider it the epitome of what SCI FI cities should look like and was simply mesmerized by its huge scope and beuaty in ME2.
How can Ilium not even be mentioned in ME3? You dont see even a single picture of this amazing city. I really do hope that in some way Ilium makes a return via DLC, as well as other places like Omega and stuff.
Please bring back Ilium...whenever I think of ME universe and ways to perfectly describe it, Ilium comes first to mind!

The Citadel in ME3 is probably the most atmospheric places BioWare has made since...forever?

Ι didnt say the Citadel in ME3 isnt a good one, I just said it isnt as big as the Citadel in ME1. It is better from the one in ME2 though, but ME2 had like 4 cities/hub worlds.
I just wanted to see Ilium in ME3... it is artistically the most amazing and atmospheric city in Mass Effect Universe in my humble opinion.
I simply wish there is a DLC that lets you visit it in some way, just to see that MASSIVE skyline with the sun setting... in ME2 I would just stand there and marvel at its beauty!

Actually, the Citadel is bigger this time around and I found it to be quite the improvement. Story-wise more hubs wouldn't make much sense. Illium is getting thrashed and Omega still has TIM as it's land lord. The only other one that might work is Tuchunka but even that could be iffy. I would bet on more areas of the Citadel being opened up via DLC but I doubt that'll happen. Still, I love surprises so we'll see what happens.
the citadel is not half the size of Mass Effect

Exactly. And infact, I spent more time in the citadel in ME3, than I did in both of the other games put together. And Omega and Illium? I went there for the Squad recruitment/loyalty missions... and nothing more. I went to Illium more times due to the DLC.

really - you had two bars - one had dancers, one had gambling (which you could actually play), you had a fully functional c-sec office, you had a medical center, numerous shopping outlets, the embassies, consorts chambers, and the walk around the presidium itself...that is in addition to the fact that you could actually have missions on the citadel, including gunfights (unlike 2 and 3)...

I think that we've just reached a point now where it's clear some people are just deluding themselves into believing that ME3 somehow 'improved upon everything in the series', despite lacking a good 60% of the content from previous installments.

I'd rather see the fights for Palaven and Thessia fleshed out than have new planets added.
Excuse me but what?
Omega and Illium are "new planets"? Since ME2 maybe, but in ME3 no.
We went to Thessia. Palaven would be cool, i dont mind going there, but Illium was a major major part of the Universe in ME2 and it deserves more than a single secondary codex reference in ME3...

An Omega DLC would make a lot of sense. Kick TIM and his buddies out, and open it up as a hub world.

Well, there's been a lot of talk of a "retake Omega" DLC. I'd buy that.

Are you trying to jinx Illium or something? The way places get important in ME3 is by having the crap blown out of them.

Lulz, I can see it now. The citizens of Illium praying the that Shepard and company don't show up. Death and Devastion seem follow him/her where ever they go.
