Remember, 'disappointing' does not necessarily mean a bad game. Disappointing means the game did not live up to our expectations. The biggest gap between expectation and reality should win the award, regardless of game quality. And ME3 is a prime candidate, considering how many lies we were told about how expansive and responsive the game would be to our choices, our own personally high expectations for the trilogy ending, as well as the hundreds of hours we had invested into the series, its characters, and its universe.
Sure, most of the game was great. We had intensely high, even unmanageably high expectations going into the final showdown. Then the ending happened, and from the peaks of our anticipation, we fell into the deep chasm of reality, crumpling into a wincing heap at the bottom.
I just wonder how many gaming sites will actually have the guts to put ME3 on a "Most Disappointing Game" list. You've seen the ridiculous, overinflated review scores which make zero mention of the game's flaws. You're aware of the huge conflict of interest between games journalists and game reviewers. By now I'm sure you don't trust anything that comes out of a game journalist's mouth, and I wouldn't be surprised if they tread lightly as not to risk their exclusive interviews.
Even if ME3 doesn't make it on to any lists, at least we know it damn well deserves to be there.
