I couldn't believe it. As I was walking around the Citadel there were people having conversations and I couldn't EAVESDROP A QUEST FROM THEM! In order to get a mission I had to actually TALK to people and waste precious time Investigating using the dialogue wheel. Usually this resulted in several choices, and at the very least I was forced to make a choice between 3 options of responding to the person. WHAT THE HELL!? Its like they wanted me to role-play. Glad ME3 got it right.

Come with me for fun in my buggy

Yeah and you actually choose nearly every response your Shepard gives to other people, it's unbelievable.I mean who wants to do that? Now in ME3 my Shepard keeps saying Paragon stuff even though she is a Renegade and she does this on her own, this is how an RPG should be, we all knew it wrong!

You are wrong OP.

DA2 did that right. You dont even need eavesdropping conversations. You find the quest item and "space magically" you know its owner.

I love these kind of Threads.

Makes you know what's wrong with the fabric of the game.

Know what shocked me when i wen back an played ME... The galaxy seemed Like... SOOOO huge, Like they had these sections where i was deployed on a planet and had to Explore... EXPLORE!?! God what is this!?! I just want a straight path in which a fight a bunch of bad guys while hiding behind cover. What was this feeling like an intrepid explorer BS? Totally glad they dropped those sections all togeather and went with a shallow planet scanning mechanic!

I've been replaying ME1 for about a week now and I am shocked about how easily Shepard gets stuck in walls and how easily the aim animation gets messed up. Both issues force resets. And those cheating Thresher Maws... And Toombs claiming that my War Hero Shepard was in his squad at Akuze.

Unfortunately Shepard still gets stuck in walls in ME2 and 3, though it's much better in 3.

I've never had to reset due to a glitch in ME2 or ME3.

It happened to me occasionally, but not as frequent as ME1.But then I like to explore every inch of the locations I visit.

You're very very very lucky, then. NEVER got stuck in level geometry, flew off into the sky or fell through the floor? Amazing!

I had the most glitches in 2 personally. 1 has a couple dialogue glitches (Toombs) but I haven't hit any issues that required a reset.

I'm sorry, but when I read your comment I couldn't help but think of this --> http://hyperboleanda...everything.html

Anyway, OP's right. I miss talking to random background characters and being able to actually explore planets or walk around on different hub worlds. It made the world feel alive.

Ah, as opposed to randomly dying because you hit an invisible wall on that moon near Palaven, or falling through the world on the Citadel? Or quest markers on the Citadel not turning off?
