That makes sense if they simply recycled the trees from the dreams for the conduit area, though it does not explain why they're suddenly there.Giskler wrote...
Dream_Tree01 is also in the conduit/beam file.
The foliage, however, was as far as I know made specifically for the Normandy crash landing scene.
I genuinely believe this could mean something.

Why they would reuse those specific assets is the question. Post reaper laser in the face is the only place you see them outside of the nightmares.

I'm not entirely sure about that. If ME3 ends with "Hey, don't worry, it was just a dream !" without a level of the "proper" ending ever being produced, fans will feel very robbed, because the game would actually have no ending.
To be perfectly honest, it does sound like the game ended when Shepard got zapped by Harbinger. It's reasonable to assume that he wouldn't have survived the blast, or at least be knocked unconscious.
If we forget about the Indoctrination theory for a moment, we could assume that we are playing through Shepard's will to live, inside his own head. If the destroy ending is picked, it is exactly what it entails : Shepard has completed the goal he set on himself, no matter the obstacles ! He wakes up because he is confident in himself, and in the fleet he has gathered.

I'm trying to keep my head from exploding after looking at that picture. Dream foliage? And it's clearly the plants used on the final jungle planet the Normandy crashes on. IT theory just got a boost.

The problem I have with them is they never fit into the new game quite right. Zaaed and Kasumi just did not feel right.
In someways I wish devs would just say we need to make more money on RPGs and thus develop DLC alongside the main game. We realize that some fans want more details and more story and others just want the core content.

Exactly. Why are they recycling assets specifically from the dream squences? Theres plenty of other tree models/assets they can use. Why these?
