I've given up on BioWare. You should too.

I've got a plan in motion
1.Pax goes bad
2. Stop buying their games. Simple as that. It's not worth my time or effort to do anything more.
3. Walk away.. forever. I know how to hold a grudge.
4. Give up on Bioware and set myself up for Diablo 3...
Diablo 3...yes! Blizzard has never failed to deliver. There's also Witcher 2 coming out for consoles soon, too. Borderlands 2 on the horizon as well as Guild Wars 2 (no monthly sub MMO) and Firefall (free shooter/MMO)...plenty of games coming out. Bioware should realize that they are not the only fish in the sea...they got massive competition and they ought to realize that they gotta do SOMETHING to keep their fanbase from moving on to these other devs who would love to take a piece of the action.

lolwut? Blizzard's with Activision. Which is possibly the only business entity on the planet more malevolent than EA. They rushed the latest WoW expansion (The atrocious "Cataclysm"). Their writing staff has never been very strong at all. They've introduced micro-transactions into World of Warcraft. The list of Actiblizzion's crimes go on and on.
Depriving EA-Bioware is a good and virtuous thing. But by going with Blizzard you're just setting yourself up for the same fall.

What makes anyone confident that BioWare will do more than sell an interactive comic book that tries to "explain" the crappy the ending we all got? It is quite clear that EA has already made its bank and that no one cares anymore. It's been nearly a month since the game's release. The media doesn't give any airtime to the Retake movement anymore. It's dead, and folks like me have moved on. From Mass Effect. From BioWare in general.
The upcoming PAX East conference will simply be another bit of PR doublespeak intended to soothe those who aren't intelligent enough to parse through the words.
There isn't going to be a new ending. Just a "clarified" one.
Give it up, comrades. It's time to seek something new to obsess over.
If you give up, then you are fulfilling the wishes of that Bioware Mythic guy who was hoping for the protesting fans to just "burn out".
Just hang in there.

If Bioware fails at PAX, "holding the line" takes on new meaning. They'd have called our bluff. They'd have taken the chance that we are, as they suspected, a minority.
Holding the line will mean that we make good on our threats. We turn our back not only on "bioware" but on the company it represents. We stop purchasing EA products in their many forms: Games, DLC, Novels. Anything. We encourage others to do the same. Bioware may be lost, but we can stop the practices that lead to their downfall. We can save future gaming companies from going down the path that Bioware did.
We can at least try

WoW store doesn't sell anything game breaking. It has 2 or 3 mounts, some vanity pets, and a bunch of plushies and merch. It doesn't sell anything required to play the game at all.

But I'm really hoping I won't have to do this.

While I agree that Activision is probably just as evil as EA (if not moreso due to Bobby Kotick), I think it seems as though they leave Blizzard alone. Starcraft 2 was not rushed and neither was Diablo 3. If you follow the development cycle for that game, the amount of changes and alterations that goes into it is staggering. They only recently overhauled the rune system. Given my history, I trust Blizzard (I'm not an MMO player so I never got into WoW) but for what it's worth, Blizzard has never failed me.

Yeah, the line "breaking" just means that people move on from Bioware and stop posting, not that they suddenly learn to love the ending.Bob the Elcor wrote...
Happily, even if the line does not hold it still will have the same effect, either we hold the line and don't buy EA or BW games, underlining sadness, or we give up on BW and EA and don't buy their games, to means to the same result.

The same for KOTOR 2 (that was obsidian, but hey, that was a sort of division of bioware, right?) . there were only 2 endings... no matter how you played it. there are only two endings, for a light sided character and a dark sided character.
Then i played Dragon Age... this one have more endings. But have more begginings too. Great story as well.
Then Dragon Age 2. I loved it, despite the 2 endings... everyone complained about it... i didnt. But i didnt like the game as i liked dragon age origins. But again...i didnt cry over it.
Then i discovered Mass Effect. It only have one ending actually... you just have to choose whos alive at them. Anybody complained about it? no. im sure i didnt.
Mass Effect 2 have ... 2 endigns, perhaps 3? Anyways, everybody loved the suicide mission. and no one complained.
Mass Effect 3... although im not a big fan of the ending (they surely have to clarified it a little bit. its confusing, but its not a "bad" ending.), im not complaining too.
That was Bioware style since the beggining. They are telling a story, but they are giving you the chance to roleplay it a bit. And im ok with it.
PS> those are the bioware games i played...im not sure if theres another ones and how they are. im talking for me and my experience.

So don't give up! If we just burn out now, then that's it, hope is gone, don't let that happen.

I had presumed that this would be the tact that anyone with any sense would take but apparently there are way more negative people wallowing in their own self pity than I thought possible.

Nope, not at all actually. Obsidian is a completely different publisher.
