I've given up on BioWare. You should too.

You are entitled to your own opinion and actions. Guess what? So are we.

The last person who told me what I should do didn't like my response.
It had nothing to do with me telling them what they in turn should do, it was more about me doing it to them.

You may reach any conclusion you like, on the other hand generalized grandstanding with basic instructions couched in some sort of advisory allusion is the bastion of the incompetent.

Go be incompetent somewhere else.

Diablo 3...yes! Blizzard has never failed to deliver. There's also Witcher 2 coming out for consoles soon, too. Borderlands 2 on the horizon as well as Guild Wars 2 (no monthly sub MMO) and Firefall (free shooter/MMO)...plenty of games coming out. Bioware should realize that they are not the only fish in the sea...they got massive competition and they ought to realize that they gotta do SOMETHING to keep their fanbase from moving on to these other devs who would love to take a piece of the action.

got to say the same thing have never played a game from blizz that failed all of them was served whit gold

Wc1,2,3
SC1,2
Wow
and soon what im waiting for Diablo 3 and previus games as diablo 1 and 2 been perfect

blizzard takes the time to develop and not rush games look how good starcraft 2 is and how good diablo 3 (is if u played beta like me). Time makes games better and listen to fans as well

1.Pax goes bad

2. Stop buying their games. Simple as that. It's not worth my time or effort to do anything more.[/quote]

3. Walk away.. forever. I know how to hold a grudge.

4. Give up on Bioware and set myself up for Diablo 3...

Diablo 3. Oh yes.

I'm surpised "plants" from Blizzard aren't trolling the forums to pull ppl away from Bioware to suck them into Diablo 3.

Why would that surprise you?

No matter what you choose, there were only two endings. Anyone complained back then? Im sure i didnt.

I'll assume you're sincere, and have really ignored or just missed the specific complaints of the aggrieved. As a result, you don't know that the problem isn't just that there are only 3 endings:

1.) Were promised 16 different endings, not 3.
2.) Were specifically promised "not A, B, C" endings.
3.) Were promised wildly disparate endings, which were closely related to our choices over the whole series.

What we we promised wasn't what we got. Even you say that.

I hope that's clearer now. If it isn't, there are hundreds of threads detailing the broken promises, exactly and specifically pointing out what Bioware said would be there, but wasn't.

P.S.:

4. The endings were ****. On every single possible level it is possible for them to be ****. IMHO, obviously.

Wait and see what they say at PAX first. If their announcement turns out to be something less than a proper resolution to ME3 and the ME trilogy, then walk. Packing my bags and leaving before then seems premature. If it is indeed just 'clarification'/filling the immense plot holes with explanation, then yeah, I'm out.

There isn't going to be a new ending. Just a "clarified" one.

Give it up, comrades. It's time to seek something new to obsess over.

I was holding out some hope, but this morning we got news that they are just going to clarify the endings.  Guess they didn't think anyone who spoke english could also read spanish.   :(

The only thing I need clarified about the endings is...how they could really think they aren't being complete jerks to their customers.

lolwut? Blizzard's with Activision. Which is possibly the only business entity on the planet more malevolent than EA. They rushed the latest WoW expansion (The atrocious "Cataclysm"). Their writing staff has never been very strong at all. They've introduced micro-transactions into World of Warcraft. The list of Actiblizzion's crimes go on and on.

Depriving EA-Bioware is a good and virtuous thing. But by going with Blizzard you're just setting yourself up for the same fall.

Activision DOESN'T own Blizzard. They've been merged. Vivendi owns Blizzard and Blizzard has already stated that they give the same speech to every company that has bought them.

"Don't mess with us and we promised you, you'll see a big profit". Blizzard is the golden goose and no one in their right mind will mess with it.

Also WoW is FREAKING 7 YEARS OLD. What the hell do you want from it?

I've sort of given up too. I just lost all interest in BioWare and their games. I'm currently obsessed over CD Projekt and their awesome series The Witcher.

Mass Effect used to have a special place in my heart, but not anymore. The Witcher has now taken over that spot. It's just so much better and at least CDPR (CD Projekt Red) is awesome, actually listens to their fanbase and actually keeps their promises.

I agree

I am not about to give up on Bioware, been playing Bioware games since Neverwinter Nights and never once have they failed to entertain me with their games.

Even though the ending to Mass Effect 3 was far from satisfying, it doesn't change the fact that I've always been entertained and continue to be entertained by all other parts of the game. If they end up changing the endings or expanding them then that will be nice fan service, if they don't then Mass Effect 3 will remain a good game with a bad ending. Those last 10 minutes is not enough for me to denounce Bioware and all their other current and upcoming games!

How are they being jerks? They made sonmething, poured their heart and soul into it, and then they were torn to ribbons by the mindless pack.

Reasonable people for both sides do exist, and indeed the more time goes on the more rational people there appear to be, but for at least two weeks after the endings BSN was completely cosumed with rage. Not unhappiness. Not sadness. Not, "Why, Bioware?"

Rage.

I think the people being complete jerks are the ones trashing everything about ME and BW because they didn't like 1/100 of ME3.

ive given up on bioware personally and it would have to take some seriously spectacular space magic at pax for that to change... purple or pink maybe

i have been finding it interesting watching peoples reactions to what has happened and biowares lalala cant hear you over our artisitc integrity. one thing i have noticed is the change on the community its gone from anger and frustration to treating bioware as a joke.

as for the original poster you cynical young man it wont be a paid comic book. it will be a bunch of epilogue slides.

as a side note i just saw my signature.. funny how a signature expressing disappointment over a bioware community event which they said they would expand on latter on but didnt is once again relavant all this time later..

Bioware have created two fantastic science fiction series in the past decade. Giving up on them and missing out on the next one would be madness.

You're welcome.

They actually made a game called Alpha Protocol that's a lot like ME1 in many ways. Somewhat glitchy combat, great dialog, character choicve, etc.
