Cullen and Cassandra should definitely be companions and I suspect they will be. Or at least I'm 90% sure Cassandra will be a companion.

And if either of them end up being bi I will be so mad. Seriously bioware should just create straight homosexual characters rather than generalizing all romance options as bisexual.

Cassandra was never established as being straight, I'm not sure about Cullen though since they make it clear he's only into women in dao. I don't agree with them making characters all straight though, that's not fair to other players

Jackel wasnt saying make every character straight, just some of them

It's still not exactly fair to the other players. I don't get why people are so against it, it's not like they're taking anything away from us. Though it would be kind of odd if Cullen was suddenly into guys, unless they pulled an Anders or something

-Ariane (maybe with Finn)

-Cullen (people seem to like him, so I'll jump on board)

-An Ash Warrior

-Sten or another Kossith

-Not Tallis

I don't know if Cassandra would be possible since she has a clear baised in favor of the templars.

this is a good list. cassandra could if you choose to side with the templars and chantry.

No Tallis. Boo.
Cullen, yes yes yes.
I think Cassandra actually will be a companion. Hmm, not like Anders wasn't biased, or Fenris.

That being said, Cullen is a Templar, aren't they chaste? It would also be fair to assume if he was a LI it would be a Sebastian type relationship. I also do not see him being a bi LI because he IS a templar.

No thank you to Tallis.

Has Tallis now officially become the Jar Jar Binks of the Dragon Age universe? :)

Thats funny Image IPB, but yes she was a horrible addition to the DA universe and one reason why many of us have lost faith in future Bioware games

Well, I just finished reading Asunder, and I'd have to say, I'd like to see some of those main characters come back.

[spoilers]

I am saddend that Wynne dies near the end of Legacy however...Why couldn't they just summon another spirit like they did before to bring her back?

Aveline's husband was a templar also, plus those templars who go to the blooming rose, I think I even saw emeric in there which was ..weird, and wynne said her child's father was a templar, so I don't think they're chaste

Cassandra. Cullen is fine too. I would really prefer it if they didn't just start piling on DLC characters though, as that seems lazy, and unfair to the players who never bought that DLC.

Missing out on what could be a big part of a companion's background just because you didn't have or didn't want to fork over the money for DLC is a bit punished. Though i've bought all the DLC so it wouldn't bother me.

I wouldn't call her a Jar Jar Binks. She brought a different point of view of the Qun.

Cullen and 5 new companions is the only way without a doubt. If not, 6 whole new companions. Cassandra's role should be kept to something that isn't a companion - it's like making Flemeth or Eamon a companion.

I'm not sure how a star from Buffy is any more of a "celebrity" than Claudia Black or Kate Mulgrew, or why that's supposed to be a "bad" thing.

I don't know... Maybe because she acted like she was her own fanfictionself and the PC had no control over the story...

Edit: it's not her fault though, just the way her character was presented (and I don't know what was her say in that)

I agree with that.

also, I don't want Bioware to choose companions based on popularity

After the web series she became somewhat of a celebrity in the DA community and since Bioware was already accused of selling out with DA2, Tallis didn't help

I would mansquee so hard if they made (Asunder spoiler) Cole a companion.

Cullen and Nyree would be awesome too.

- Cullen
- Nathnaniel Howe
- Rhys. One normal mage and healer. It's  all I need.
- Orlesian shevalier. Like James Vega no less. I am so tired of bioware guy syndrome.

Tevinter Blood mage - not fenris-like whiner, but guy who approves slavery, ambitious and ok with Blood Magic.
Desire Demon or girl, possessed by Desire Demon - the most interesting option. As Desire Demons considered among most intelligent ones, this companion could be extremely interesting and onorthodox at the same time. Plus, implementing Desire Demon as a companion and LI allows us to continue good old tradition of "evil girls" in RPG, like Viconia.

Theres not much there beyond that, she's an annoying character that contradicts herself and should have stayed in the web series

Okay, this is off-topic and I admit I may get mod-slapped for this, but the damn topic keeps coming up because too many people just can't deal with the idea of bisexual love interests.

Origins did NOT "make it clear" that Cullen was only into women.  It wrote the
story that he was interested in the female Warden.  That does NOT mean
he is only into women.  It could easily be that he was simply not
attracted to any men who were around at the time.  Just as it could also be explained for Anders own story that he simply chose to keep his attraction to men to himself during Awakening, because the subject didn't come up and it wasn't anyone else's damned business, OR that he was generally attracted mostly to women, but didn't close himself off from relationships with any men who came along that he found himself attracted to.  Neither of these scenarios is at all far-fetched, and many men and women in real life will attest to this from personal experience.

There is evidence that more people TEND toward bisexuality than either a clear-cut identification as either hetero- or homosexual, that GENERALLY a lot of people identify as exclusively straight because of cultural indoctrination rather than anything biologically inborn.  Sexuality is a continuum and more people than not fall somewhere toward the middle, suggesting a more fluid orientation than is comfortable for many to deal with.

People are against it because they have internalized homophobia, whether they admit it or not.  There is no good reason not to be inclusive to all your players.
