Also, I hope that we will get either a harpy or centaur companion XD (we need some more race variation).
Actually, I hope that hey will keep the ratio of humans down. In DA:O we had one dwarf, one elf, one qunari, and the rest humans (apart from a golem and dog). In DA2 we had 2 elves, 1 dwarf, and the rest humans. So, more non-human companions for DA3 please!!

I definitely don't want to see any IGN employees turn up in this one. The bizarre Chobot-thing that appeared in ME3 was terrible. Chobot's voice is irritating enough in the 3 minute videos on IGN, and the Chobot-reaper didn't even look attractive enough to distract my attention from her grating voice.
What i want is more welsh elves. Get Eve Myles back, whether as Merrill or someone new.

1) Tallis
2) Friend of Red Jenny
3)Cassandra
4)Anorna(Cameo)
5)Chasind
6)Female Dwarf shale(if you did not kill her)
7) Varric
And for the love of all of Bioware, please no Ohgren!
I am going to add Bethany too. She could be like Garrus in Mass Effect 3, if you let her die, then you have no one to replace her.

It has nothing to do with homophobia, alot of fans just think it's unrealistic for everyone in the party to be bisexualSilfren wrote...

Cullen and Cassandra should definitely be companions and I suspect they will be. Or at least I'm 90% sure Cassandra will be a companion.
And if either of them end up being bi I will be so mad. Seriously bioware should just create straight homosexual characters rather than generalizing all romance options as bisexual.
Cassandra was never established as being straight, I'm not sure about Cullen though since they make it clear he's only into women in dao. I don't agree with them making characters all straight though, that's not fair to other players
Jackel wasnt saying make every character straight, just some of them
It's still not exactly fair to the other players. I don't get why people are so against it, it's not like they're taking anything away from us. Though it would be kind of odd if Cullen was suddenly into guys, unless they pulled an Anders or something
Okay, this is off-topic and I admit I may get mod-slapped for this, but the damn topic keeps coming up because too many people just can't deal with the idea of bisexual love interests.
Origins did NOT "make it clear" that Cullen was only into women. It wrote the
story that he was interested in the female Warden. That does NOT mean
he is only into women. It could easily be that he was simply not
attracted to any men who were around at the time. Just as it could also be explained for Anders own story that he simply chose to keep his attraction to men to himself during Awakening, because the subject didn't come up and it wasn't anyone else's damned business, OR that he was generally attracted mostly to women, but didn't close himself off from relationships with any men who came along that he found himself attracted to. Neither of these scenarios is at all far-fetched, and many men and women in real life will attest to this from personal experience.
There is evidence that more people TEND toward bisexuality than either a clear-cut identification as either hetero- or homosexual, that GENERALLY a lot of people identify as exclusively straight because of cultural indoctrination rather than anything biologically inborn. Sexuality is a continuum and more people than not fall somewhere toward the middle, suggesting a more fluid orientation than is comfortable for many to deal with.
People are against it because they have internalized homophobia, whether they admit it or not. There is no good reason not to be inclusive to all your players.

Whoa. My apologies, while I did address some things you mentioned, my irritation was not directed at you at all, but the fact that people are still spouting the endless refrain of "OMG WHY IS EVERYONE BI OMG OMG." Bioware did this for the obvious reason of wanting to appeal to as wide a market of their fanbase as possible. Inclusiveness is something to be admired and encouraged, not whined over by people who have histrionic fits whenever a company decides to acknowledge some other worldview than their own.

Oh Okay good! But yes I agree, I had no problem with the same sex romances and don't get why other people did(hence why defended it in the earlier argument) But I didn't mean to imply that Cullen, were he a companion, shouldn't be bi. I was only curious of if they were going to do something like how they did it with Anders(which I had no problem with) or something else, I was only hoping for feedback of possibilities they could do it, which you did name some ways, though you might of thought I was implying he should only stay straight, which I didn't mean to, but i'm very sorry if I came off that way!
You didn't come across that way, don't apologize.
I've known quite a few people in my life that turned out to be gay, or bi, after years of my assuming they were straight. Sometimes it was simply that they didn't say anything and I never asked, but just assumed (which was stupid on my part, because one should never assume a default anything). Others lived as if they were straight for decades of their lives, including getting married to an opposite-sex partner and having kids with them, only to later decide they were gay and re-arrrange their life accordingly. I've also known a real, flesh-and-blood human being who identified all her life as straight, and for reasons that she still doesn't understand years later, fell in love with a female friend, with whom she is still partnered with today, even though she doesn't find herself attracted to any other women and therefore considers herself "mostly straight, but listen," the point of which is simply that, again, sexual orientation is seldom as cut-and-dried as many people think.
Getting back on topic and trying to avoid further socio-cultural discussion of the real world, It is NOT unreasonable or far-fetched or immersion breaking for a character previously portrayed as straight (or merely assumed to be straight based on their behavior) to "suddenly" turn out to be either gay or bi. There are plausible reasons for this, whatever detractors want to claim to the contrary.

Some people cry "mary sue," but that's BioWare's fault, not the character's. Tallis wasnt created specifically for DA2. Another victim of "characters changing to fit the story."
Yeah I hate the whole SPOILERS DLC OMG thing too, but that's just another example of "your decisions matter." lol.

All very good points, it's a game anyway so it's not like it has to be "realistic" like some people say. Well, I don't think they'd go back to how they did it in Origins anyway so no need for anyone to worry. I had no problem with it in DA2 and I'm glad they're keeping it

I'd definitively be in favor of a real templar companion for once.
As for completely new characters ... an Avvar might be interesting, too. Maybe the devs could recycle some of the notes they had for the canned barbarian origin in DA:O this way. Could be a male or female warrior travelling the world on some quest that intertwines with whatever plot the player is following.
An Orlesian chevalier is a concept that could be a lot of fun, too.
