Best: Brandon Keener (Garrus)

And that's choosing from a very long list of great actors in this game. In the end I put it down to a combination of a great voice plus excellent writing for his character.

Worst of all: Jessica Chobot (Diana Allers)

To be fair, she isn't an actress. Also her dialog is poorly written. Bad writing plus a bad VA is a disaster waiting to happen.

Most Annoying: Ali Hillis (Liara)

I've heard some of her other work and she's awesome. But in my personal opinion he whole breathy, light air talk annoys the crap out of me. Luckily she's one of the best written characters in the series. This is a case of not really blaming the voice actor or writer but the director. Hillis has talent, it just wasn't used to it's full extent.

THAT!! THAT!! It's like she has ethereal asthma!

+1, it lead me to bashing the spacebar as soon as the subs had been read to escape that nausiating nasal intonation, this in turn lead me to accidentally hit wrong convo options, but it was worth it

Ugh.. They got Chobot instead of bringing back Emily Wong. 'Nuff said... >.>

Best: Everything Else. Even Mordin's new VA was surprisingly excellent... Did no one get the chills when he turned around to face Shepard and yelled "I made a MISTAKE!"

I loved most of the voice acting, but the ones that stood out the most was FemShep and Anderson. From the get go, they just pulled me in and made me want to experience everything without skipping dialogue.

Worst though, and I kinda feel bad for reinforcing this, was Allers. It sounded weird. Kaidan's VA wasn't horrible but the way he delivered the lines didn't fit.

Best:
Wrex and Wreav (Steven Barr and Jim Cummings)
Grunt (Steve Blum)
Garrus (Brandon Keener)
Illusive Man (Martin Sheen)
Admiral Hackett (Lance Henriksen)
Zaeed Massani (Robin Sachs)
Ashley (Kim Brooks)
Aria T'Loak (Carrie Anne Moss)
Harbinger (Keith Szarabajka)
Anderson (Keith David)
Miranda Lawson (Yvonne Strahovski)
Thane (Keythe Farley)

ME2 Samara was great.......it's too bad I found her "distasteful" in ME3 :(. Maybe cause her part was so boring and script writing was awful.....she has really no character in ME3.

Yeah, William Salyers has it hard. He does a really good job, but he's just not quite as good as Beattie was.

Best: Jennifer Hale's voice acting is phenomenal. I love the gritty emotion she injects into her performance and it makes the likelihood of me ever doing a playthrough as Sheploo even less likely.

I also really enjoy Ali Hillis' work, she was fantastic in FFXIII and yet I didn't even recognise her voice when I started playing ME. Not sure what the fuss is about her voice being breathy, I guess it's not for everyone.

Worst: Chobot definitely, so much so that I'll be getting those war assets from another source in the future. She ain't getting on my Normandy again - not or voice or her ******.
Also Aldrin and the Star Child's voice were annoyingly bad. Star Child was just annoyingly bad and pointless fullstop. Should have shot the little ****er in the head, would be much happier.

Best is, without a doubt, the foursome of Brandon Keener as Garrus Vakarian, Keith David as David Anderson, Lance Henriksen as Steven Hackett, and Martin Sheen as TIM.

Honorable mentions go to Robin Sachs and Ike Amadi.

EDIT: Oh, and while not strictly -bad-, Liara's got to be the most annoying. Shame too, since the other female voice talent is generally as spectacular as the above mentioned.

Mark Meer was really fantastic, he has really improved over the whole series. Really, the whole cast impressed me, I do have some minor gripes though...

Most of the ME2 characters (including TIM) seemed a little off, I can't really place it.

Buzz Aldrin is awesome, but please, stay away from Mass Effect.

And Allers wasn't bad, just really mediocre

While many will disagree with me, I thought Mark Meer's acting was EXCELLENT in this game. I think he must have paid attention to some of the criticism he received from the last two games, because he REALLY stepped up his game in this one. On par with Hale's voice acting, for certain.

You do know that the old man is Buzz Aldrin?
(not that I care for the scene, or the ending as a whole)

I know - what a shame.  I'm such a fan of his too.

Pretty much this. I'd like to honorably mention the VA for Eve

I don't think Martin Sheen's voice fits the Illusive man at all. It's too soft. Any generic "professional" or maybe an "evil" voice would work better.

Niether Chobot nor Buzz Aldrin are voice actors so I guess it goes without saying.

Best: Tali, Garrus, Martin Sheen, Ashley, Liara,.....just about everyone....except Buzz, Chobot and whoever did the kid. "Everyones dying!"

Best voice acting I've ever seen with the exception of those three characters

Martin Sheen was the best IMO. Not a surprise, though. That guy is awesome.

Now, I'm not sure why Chobot played such a big role in this game. Did Bioware owned IGN a favor for all those "perfect" Reviews? By far the worst VA in the entire game. I know she's optional, but the space she takes inside the Normandy as well as the interview time could be used by another far more interesting character.

But it's powerful. A generic voice would've ruined TIM.

But even the worst voice-acting in the game is miles above a lot of voice-acting in other games.

I think everyone did a phenomenal job. Although I don't like Male Shepards voice, but that's just me. It isn't like he did a bad job...

FemShep shows about as much emotion as Chobot. MaleShep isn't perfect, but he certainly doesn't retain a pissed off monotone 24/7.

Best: Martin Sheen, my god he is good at that role. So many good ones but I had to pick him over them

Worst: starchild, Yup even chobot is better. Kid has filters and others on the track when he speaks. He sounds as if he is missing his two front teeth and has nasty lisp, and is clearly reading. The filter doesn't hide it from me.

The word is Yes. Not Yesssss.

Peace not peacccce.

*dons flame-retardant suit*

Ugh, I have to agree. Hale is highly overrated in the ME series. I'll say I liked her much more in just about everything else I've heard her in. Meer's improvement throughout is astounding, his overall delivery and range of emotions blow Hale's out of the water.

Sheen was awesome, Keith David and Jennifer Hale owned it. Hackett was good too and Admiral Raan. Chobot was horrifically bad, just don't have adjectives to describe that train wreck. I'm gonna leave Buzz alone because he's Buzz.

You kidding? Buzz Aldrin, other than being a legend himself, reminded me of my grandpa with his voice over. He was great.

Other than that, the worst were probably Allers (just average really, didn't even know the girl and don't understand all the hate she's getting) and Ashley.

But mostly Ashley. I hated the character in ME1 anyway though... I just think her voice and delivery don't fit anywhere.

Only reason she's been in my latest playthroughs is the EPIC BUG that makes Gabby and Ken mute without Ashley's opinion of me being good... argh -_-

The best... TIM by far. Anderson was good and so was Hacket. Aria is great but lacked lines.... I also liked Javik and Vega (Delivery wise). hmmm Well everyone did a good/great job really.

What, no Joker love? Seth Green's voice acting was quality throughout the entire series.
