Who's on your list?

Best:
Martin Sheen (The Illusive Man)
Javik
Garrus

Worst:
Stargazer (old man)
Diana Allers (Cho-bot)

I'll elaborate on the last two.  It's obvious they do not have voice acting in their background.  I understand that; however, their lack of VO chops is painfully apparent because the voice acting otherwise was excellent and above par.  Buzz Aldrin sounded like he was reading the script.  Chobot's tone did not match the mood of what she was reporting or the overall tone of the game itself.  It lacked gravitas.

Well yea they aren't actors...... just saying

Anyway loved Liz Stroka(Tali's VO) and of course Jennifer Hale is amazing as always. Also I was really impressed by Mark Meer. He's really gotten a lot better. Also I liked who they got to replace Mordin. A little deifferent but still really good.

The kid was meh, but i'm guessing it was done by a kid so I'll let that one slide along with the non-actors

Yep, Mark Meer got to a point where i actually prefer playing male.

He has no where near enough lines to even say his voice acting is bad. All ten words he said were not the worst voiced in the game.

You can't say a char's voice acting stinks only because you don't like the writers for that character.

I did hear that they got a new voice actor for Mordin, so when Mord first spoke I thought he sounded weird. Then he sounded just like in ME2 four seconds later.

I think I can honestly say that all performances by professional VA's were outstanding,
still I'd like to point out

Jennifer Hale - There are so many scenes that wouldn't have moved me as much if it wasn't for the way she delivers Shepard's lines ("best seats in the house!")
Alix Wilton Regan - She makes so much out of her small role as Traynor
the last two conversations of the romance are really outstanding thanks to both actresses and such a pleasure to listen to and make more than up for the fact that there is less content than in other romances.

There is also the case of Mordin, who was voiced by a new actor, which makes the performance all the more outstanding, as he really managed to nail it, imo.

Hillis and Taylor were outstanding as well (Jack's "Shepard? Are you there?" at the end makes me shiver just thinking about it)
My Krogan brothers Wrex and Grunt wouldn't be so dear to me, if their voice acting wasn't so awesome.
Henriksen, David, Hogan - shall I go on? Trisha, Seth and Kimberly - all of them!

Special mention to Jan Alexandra Smith for an amazingly cute Dr. Chloe Michel. I could spent hours listening to her telling me she has nothing to report. ;)

Sheen all the way. Awesome work, I particularly liked the last lines on the Citadel.

Not the worst but Shepard's voice was at times just out of place. Too indifferent, without emotion. But when it mattered it was decent. I still remember in ME2 when you meet Thane and Shep says something like 'You're sick? Is it contagious? How long do you have?' so quickly and without any compassion I just lol'd.

Worst= Diana Allers. no offense to her personally, but was very rigid and unnatural.

Yes, and offense to her personally, she had no business being in the game to begin with.

Good ones:

Mark Meer (MaleShep): He has his dull moments, but also often displays a great range of emotion in his voice. I don't really get what people like about Hale enough to praise her so much. She seems to be in perma-PMS-mode

Tricia Helfer (EDI): The combination of dead-serious humor and robotical preciseness = ME GUSTA. She also displays genuine affection for Joker simply through her voice. It just... softens when she talks about him.

Martin Sheen (Illusive Man): Though I feel incredibly annoyed by his character, he is indeed well spoken because Sheen understands to reflect the perceived personal superiority and power, TIM represets.

Brandon Keener (Garrus Vakarian): Yeah, well. Simply badass. I enjoy him a lot.

Ash Sroka / Liz Sroka (Tali): I am amazed how she manages to convey the feelings of Tali through nothing else than her voice. Incredible job.

Also noteworthy: Wrex and Grunt. They did a pretty good overall job voicing Krogans.

Whom I did not like as much:

Ali Harris (Liara): While her development from science-nerd to most notorious information broker is done well, its execution voice-wise is lacking imho. Harris provides nothing noteworthy rather than a monotonous voice.

Kimberly Brooks (Ashley): Meh. I never truly liked her, but it got worse, when she questioned me three times in a row about my former alliance with Cerberus. Bad writing, unsure about VA. Definitely not beneficial for her.

Freddie Prince Jr. (Vega): Fake latino-meatshield. Feels a little bit... constructed. He stays pale and boring throughout the game and I couldn't relate to him at all. VA didn't help either.

Alas I have to agree about the voicing for Liara (still quite like the character though). All too often she sounded like she was reading lines from the script. I had hoped for an improvement there over earlier installments because I thought she was much better in Lair of the Shadow Broker (particularly the banter with Shepard), but alas not.

I was fairly indifferent to Diana Allers. I found her more forgetable than anything else.

The rest of the regular cast were still great. Mention has already been given to Mordin still being great even with a different VA, so a lot of credit there. I got a lot of emotional impact from Tali, possibly due to her being my LI. If I can ever stomach another playthrough I'll have to see if the others achieve the same result.

I can't comment on Buzz Aldrin's voiceover. I've not heard it. My playthrough deliberately ended at the hands of Marauder Shields.

Everyone was great - except for Allers. She wasn't what I would describe as completely horrible, just bland. I'm not really even counting Buzz Aldrin. His presence was clearly a nod to our own journey to the stars, which was cool for this space program geek. :P

Mordin's VA from ME2 (ME3 isn't bad, just not exactly the same)

ALLERS

Seriously, just bad. And don't hate too much on Buzz, he went to the moon :)

Kai Leng kind of sucked, but it would of been hard for anyone to pull that role off due to the underwhelming writing. So I can't really blame Troy Baker.

Ali Hillis and Martin Sheen were my favorites. I'd say Kaidan's VA did exceptional as well.

Keith David, Lance Henriksen, and Martin Sheen were all pretty amazing. Michael Hogan was good too, but we knew all four of those actors were great from previous games. I've got to give credit to Freddie Prinze Jr, whose delivery quickly endeared James Vega to me, and Troy Baker as Kai Leng. Honestly, the voice acting was the only thing I liked about the character, and I feel that with better writing and a few more lines, he could have made Leng a credible villain.

I think both Shepards, and all of the squad mates did a very good job, I'm far to lazy to rank them.

I'll just say Grunt.

And the worst, is the news reporter on the Normandy.

While many will disagree with me, I thought Mark Meer's acting was EXCELLENT in this game. I think he must have paid attention to some of the criticism he received from the last two games, because he REALLY stepped up his game in this one. On par with Hale's voice acting, for certain.

I thought Meer was tremendous in this one actually (I like him better than Hale actually)...He was actually pretty good in 2, just the original ME he was flat in...but his humorous lines are way better than  Hale IMO...

Honestly, everyone but Jessica Chobot and Buzz Aldrin did an excellent job.

For a guy who has practically nothing on his resume, Ike Amadi really impressed me. His line delivery as Javik was pretty boss, making a character who was originally derided as a laughable addition into one of the most popular characters in the game, and possibly the series.

"Most improved" goes to Mark Meer. His "ANGRY SHEPARD~!" moments were actually pretty intense in this game. I was blown away when he lost it at Han Gerrell and at Joker. Out of the blue but damn good.

I agree - and I think it is because he does the humorous lines WAY BETTER and it balances out the darker moments were hale seems always serious to the point where it gets to be to much sometimes...

To be honest, I had no idea who Allers VA was before I played the game. I found out because I always check VA of people I don't recognize (it took me a long ****ing time to find Javik's VA, whom I love). I checked up on Allers because I thought her voice acting was disgustingly bad. Compared to EVERYONE in the game it was horrible.

So yeah.

Faves are Garrus and Javik. Worst are Allers.

There really wasn't anyone that I felt did a bad job; I didn't have a problem with Jessica, I just ignored her for the most part anyways.

People that truly stood out were Brandon Keener, Ash Sroka, Alli Hillis, and William Salyers. I obviously noticed Mordin's changing voice, but I don't think William missed a beat.

And for most improved, I bet we can all agree it goes to Mark Meer. I never felt any connection with Shepard until the third game; he was not only greatly improved, but he is worth mentioning as putting on a great performance.

Honorable mention goes to Mark Meer who stepped up his game big time. All and all enjoyed most of the voice acting.

I will not speak out against the Stargazer, come on, the man was a pioneer.
