Really like this patch and am looking forward to more. Patches and tweaks, an easy way to keep a game fresh if it changes the mechanics a bit. Should be interesting to see what can be staggered with tech armour now if it is actually worth purging it.

Should be interesting to see how tech burst is going forward and if all tech teams can do as well as biotic artillery against reapers.

Eric Fagnan, I really hope you have an automated way of doing that post because in a year from now, if you have to copy and paste every post down one, well... that would take the better part of a day lol

the most important change was the respec cards fix. now i know to never drop below 3 :P that also leads me to believe that if that can be fixed with an update, then the character cards are probably here to stay for quite awhile.

im glad to see they did something with grenades but im not exactly sure that is going to make them useful (along with the CS buff) they are still difficult enough to get and a 50 point buff isnt the be all end all. if the point system they use is consistent than that would mean the difference of single bullet from the Revenant.

If they decide to do this, I think they're going to need to limit it so that only Spectre Packs or Special Packs (like the Veterans) don't include character cards once maxed.

The last thing I think they want is people just spamming their way to Level X Javelins by buying twelve recruits packs after every gold mission.

no more reset cards if you have 3 or more? considering i'm at 5, i'll gladly take it. that much of a better chance for something i'll actually enjoy.

Tech Burst, Fire Explosion buffs, why not Cryo Blast ? It's not hard enough to use ?.. Well I guess none plays QE so it doesnt matter, but this is not helping. All these changes are good though, just no Bonana love ;_;

I think that needs a real patch that fixes a lot of things with the network code and other bugs...

The buffs to tech and pyro combos are great and will be really nice for tech classes.

But... could we please get the on-death mechanic removed form the pyro/dryo combos? All the other combos can trigger normally and be set-up and trigger by the same character except for the pyro/cryo combo. I may be biased because my favorite class is QE and it would be a nice buff to move up into gold, but I still think it is a needed change.

Oh tech armor only has a 30% penalty now (with 6 ranks)? That combined with the increased power damage would make it worthwhile to use it then. His powers might be slower but they deal more damage. Which is sweet IMO. Going whip out my sentinel now and have some fun with tech armor.

Just keep the current posts and overwrite the oldest fix. No point in having a complete list of updates. I seriously doubt in a month or two no one is gonna look at the changes for the beginning of March!

Sentinel class still needs a description change though, unless Bioware likes trolling the newbies. Tech Armor is better, but not that much better.

Overall, I love these changes. 20% off the base recharge penalty for TA? It was so miniscule before! This is awesome!

Of course, I'm going to complain about cryo explosions not getting any love. Please, Bioware... just make it work on chilled targets. Damage is fine, mechanic is fine... just, make it so it works on armored units when they die. That's all it needs. Am I asking for so much?

Would have liked to see the cryo combo get a little buff too, but I like these. I think some of the soldier buffs should get more of those showing up in silver and gold.

TA needs to be reworked. Its current iteration is still only useful as a passive ability. Theres no invincibility frames, no way to instantly reach your target, your damage reduction is removed upon use, and it causes a global down. Running up to an enemy just to use Tech Armor is foolish. If the devs intended use was to blow away enemies that get to close to your cover, then thats also foolish; you're better off insta-killing close enemies with a grab.

I'd like to see TA's radius increased.(perferably to a base radius of 12, maximum of 18 with upgrades), its damage/force reduced to default, and its recharge penalty reduced to -50%. The biggest change I'd like to see is its rank 6 recharge evolution replaced with a shock effect evolution that can set up Tech Bursts. (TA cooldown needs to be high enough so that a Sentinel can NOT TA -> Warp -> TA -> Warp everything into oblivion. The Sentinel can detonate their own Warp with Tech Armor, but they'll need someone else to detonate their Tech Burst, thus; actively using Tech Armor is more useful for team players than solo artists)

Good changes. The Soldiers weight buff+Fortifications lower penalty should make playing a Carnage-Spamming Krogan interesting again, and playing a Sentinel hopefully wont feel like a gimped Biotic

Removing respec cards is a good 1st step..

how about removing char cards also for those who already have all the appearances unlocked or introduce the alternate armor costumes from single-player since those armor models are in-game already (just remove the skill/power bonuses if they're too powerful)

it's the different armor appearances people really want :)

Eric, Thanks for buff post. I was fiddling with fire combos yesterday; can't wait to wreak even more havoc tonight.

Would you mind clarifying how power combos scale? For example, if I had to guess it looks like tech burst base damage is 100 and then scales 15 points for each additional rank of the combo powers. For example Overload3 + Warp3 would cause 100+2*15+2*15 = 160 damage. That would also get you 250 for a 6/6 version of the combo. (100+5*15+5*15)

How does this jibe with the bronze/silver/gold difficulty damage scaling you mentioned in that sticky post you made about gameplay mechanics?
