We don't want the ending to be changed. We want the indoctrination theory to be truu.
I find this post interesting. The beauty of the ending is that it calls for imagination and speculation. I almost don't want them to "confirm" if it is "true or not".
Just let me draw my own conclusions. At the same time, I acknowledge that some gamers prefer to have it all laid out. And that's cool too. So, maybe the DLC will do this for them.

here@kanjilikesboys We're so glad you liked it. Don't worry, your ending won't be changed. We're just releasing more content.
Well...DUUUUUUUUUUH. They can't ''change'' the ending with a DLC. 'Maybe' and I emphasis 'MAYBE' they'll release something like Broken Steel for Fallout 3 which Bethesda did which allowed continued play after completeing the main quest and some follow up to the main storyline/resolution. But you still had to go through the original ending, I believe. Maybe we'll learn the fact of the galaxy and our butt buddies, then again maybe not. I give BW kudos for sticking to their guns and not pandering to a minority of whiners.

PRIMA has nothing to do with BW, they are completely diff companies, Prima's guides have a hsitory of listing features that are not in the finished productbluewolv1970 wrote...

Ending doesn't need to be changed. Adding on to the ending to fill in the blanks is perfectly acceptable.
But it's not ok to release plot hole fixing DLC and charge for it.

Obviously Bioware has completed the "we are listening" phase and now entered the "ignoring all the feedback" phase.
Did they ever moved from the later?

I think they are hinting at an alternate ending. That, or it's a clarification. Either way I'm happy.
Did you read it? How'd you draw that conclusion from it?! They release mission based dlc you can play prior or post ending. That's all.

It is an odd phrasing, which I take to mean they will at best release additional content.Steel Dancer wrote...

The problem is that that means the Starchild is here to stay. And there's just nothing salvageable about that thing.

I would like a completly new ending that erases everything after "entering the lightbeam" and replaces it with something that stays coherent to the narrative of ME: 1+2+99% of 3, follows a logical pattern with limitations given by the established lore of the fiction (no godlike species-melding, "new kind of DNA" nonsensical crap) and delivers some closure to the stories of all of Shepards friends.
But..."additional content" in form of a PURPLE explosion would be fine too, I guess =/
No, I srsly doubt that the people in charge who messed up the ending are wise enough to admit their failure by eradicating it and deliver something substantially different. Maybe out of pride, maybe they fear that would lead to just another outrage, maybe because they like their ending and want to keep their "artistic integrity". Either way: if what they do leaves me as dissatisfied with the game as I am now: no more money for you, BioWare. You have plenty of competition I`d like to support.

Maybe we'll be allowed to shoot the damn thing in the head this time. A man can dream.

Maybe nothing or maybe hinting at an alternative ending.
Unlikely though.
