But! If you have less than 1600 EMS, destroy is the only option the star child gives you. Directly contradicting the theory.

If you saved the Collector base in ME2, doesn't it default to only giving you control?

Meaning it makes even less sense, since you'd have to argue two things with the same set of data (either they don't bother to even try to indoctrinate you, or they just indoctrinate you outright because... because why?).

The fact that it defaults at all contradicts the Indoctrination Theory. If the Reapers were really in Shepard's head, the amount of guns you have firing at the Reapers and protecting the Crucible wouldn't affect Shepard's mental capacity. It'd be 100% static regardless.

The better you do during the game(s) dictates the amount of options you have at your disposal. Which also contradicts the accusations that nothing you do throughout 90 hours of gameplay matters.

Also: https://twitter.com/...278525194186752 Its a very real tweet.

So they're listening to people who have barely played the singleplayer but not listening to those who care more about it and have played it more than multiplayer?

Also why do they reply to those who say positive things but state that they're gathering feedback when it's something negative?

Apparently because they can't accept the fact that they were completly wrong and ruined 5 years of their work and our time in just 15 minutes of BAAAAD writing.

I really hope they're smart enough to realize this is a disaster. A year from now, Mass Effect 3 will be "that game with an awful ending." That's how it'll be remembered. When people do polls on the worse ending in video games, it'll win for the next decade.

Why wait a year? ME3 has already received universal mockery for it's ending (that greatly overshadows any of the positives it has done). When you can actually make a game that many were going "Game of the Year!" and nuke that feeling to Virmire dust in the final 10 minutes, going from GOTY to "I've been enraged for three weeks straight", you know the ending has become one of the worst endings... ever... in ANY medium.

Because right now, people talk about the other amazing things about the game. They'll talk about Tali's straw scene, Mordin's finale, etc.  These are amazing moments in the game. However, as time passes, the stuff you remember and the stuff that gets talked about diminshes.

Do you remember the Fab 5?  All anybody talks about now is Chris Webber's timeout.

Well, strictly speaking. The ending need not be changed. It can remain, as an ending.

JUST NOT *THE* ENDING.

This.

I would be happy with the current ending if it was explained (In nice, full detail), answered questions and showed an ending scene which reflected my decisions throughout the games.

Honestly, I just want it to make sense, answer everything and show my choices.

A little gradification that the whole freaken galaxy didn't go up in flames from a super-nova or an explaination how it didn't would be nice too.

Shouldn't you at least ask for a dinner and a movie first?

Or at the very least a cup of coffee.

"We're so glad you liked it. Don't worry, your ending won't be changed. We're just releasing more content."

Duh. If you like the original endings then you wouldn't need to download the DLC that fixes the ending in the first place! Silly Bioware, pointing out the obvious like that!

Dinner and a movie is so 1990's man. We're in 2012! Be more that one word I can't think of where you just do stuff.

They're trolling. DON'T READ TOO MUCH INTO IT.

Hold the line, at the VERY LEAST for 3 more days...

They've said equally "firm" statements on Twitter about changing the ending, so everything should be taken with a Mack-truck full of salt.

How quickly everyone forget this was said as well, and it was equally troll-ful, until Christ Priestly trolled on it some more:

@masseffect @PatrickWeekes did you feel pressured to change the ending, Isn't it important to stick to your guns on some things?

@satootaku We never said we were changing it :) We have ALWAYS had big plans for ME3. It isn't a response-It's been in the works

Again...do not read too much into it.

Unless they go ahead and make it obvious that Shep is fighting indoctrination, I fear they will pull some seriously contrived BS out of their butts to explain the ending and just make things worse.

But I'll try to keep an open mind. Try.

I want to believe so badly that Bioware will come through on Friday, but I have a lot of doubt. Changing an ending is a tremendously courageous step to take, and the options if they just choose to continue it are looking pretty limited if they don't go with the indoctrination theory. I love the indoctrination theory, but I wonder if Bioware would actually go ahead and say that the ending took place in Shephard's head.

So they are going to make a dlc of hours of explaining, just to fix all the plot holes. Wow can't wait to buy that!

The mere insanity of it is intriguing. I still refuse to believe they released a game without an ending though. That would be a tad on the touch of insanity.

I'm pretty sure they said something about if they changed the ending it wouyld be available no matter what ending you chose. As in, hey, we're not changing anything just adding on. Indoctrination theory is supported by this.

"Adding content" could mean expansion + happy option, though I'm not banking on it.  Just saying that, in the interest of fairness, it is possible.

If that's what happens, I'll be happy with it.  Any chance we can get them to answer about adding a fight where we get to destroy Harbinger?

It's actually kind of funny. If you attack someone, tell them that their game is horrible, threaten them, belittle what they accomplished... they probably won't listen to you.

If you want change, you need to criticize them constructively without including personal attacks.

Say things like, "I don't feel that the ending worked because I didn't get anything out of it. It would be awesome if you considered giving me something a little more cohesive." You know, things like that. Much more constructive, lets them know you didn't get what they were going for without questioning their lineage, etc.

Personally, I am happy with the ending. It is reassuring that they are not going to change it.

I'd very much like to call in the fleet to bombard Harby, then stand in front of him and say:

“We are the Harbinger of your destiny.”
