This game really needed a sarcasm, smart mouth dialogue option for said scenarios. One of the only things I liked about DA 2.

If you punch out the Salarian who pulls the gun on you in one of the rooms during the Thane recruitment mission Shep says "Hurt me? I hardly felt a thing."

And "How about goodbye?" if you push the merc out the window.

Also, most of the dialogue in the first Earth mission in the beginning of the game was pretty weakly delivered, even from voice actors who normally do extremely well. Thankfully, it instantaneously improved as soon as you get to Mars.

Oh, geez, this stuff is HORRIBLE! At least James' reaction wasn't complete crap. What, did all the VA's suddenly get a ~80% pay reduction right before they recorded all the Earth lines? The voice acting in the rest of the game is incomparibly better.

You can romance him and someone else, right? THAT would be an awkward moment if you brought along your LI ;p

And I doubt it would make it better. The "Steve!" Is well delivered actually, it just sounds so out of context to the lines around it.
