Thats rather ignorant nor a good solution. Neither is distributing points based on performance. All that does is promote elitism and leave those less talented at a disadvantage..marshalleck wrote...

The less talented are already disadvantaged--all this system would do is not burden everyone else with them.KroganSmash wrote...

Not an ideal soluion. What if someone just doesn't know what they're doing? I think, that come wave 6, if you do not have a certain amount of kills or assists, you should automatically be ejected. Then, even if your score was low, the game would at least recognize that you're contributing.Kosmiker wrote...

That'd be hard on the surviving 3 guys on Silver/Gold. Obviously not with a leech, but if they're playing with a guy who's not as good, yet does a lot of support work (capping stuff, rezzing, watching the flank), suddenly they're screwed.
Here's the thing : Leechers only do it for the credits. So how do you get them to stop doing it? By finding a way to identify them (thresholding works best), then NOT giving them ANY credits. The leeches will disappear in a week if Bioware implemented this.
of course, that's assuming Bioware gives a rat's ass about leechers, which they obviously don't.

Elitism at it's finest. Yea, don't deny it. This is a team game. Everyone on the team should be rewarded.marshalleck wrote...

Out of my last six matches since last night, 4 have had at least 1 leecher, and the most recent one had two players with under 2000 points on gold.
Basically two guys just sat in cover, occasionally firing a shot when they got bored and getting killed over and over.

I don't deny it. Why would I? Yes, it's a team game and I expect a high standard from other players, the same I expect of myself. I strive to not suck, and waste other people's time. Oh, how shameful!TexasToast712 wrote...

Wanting to better yourself is a good quality. Being a dick about it and expecting everyone else to be up to your standards isn't.marshalleck wrote...

to solve leechers
- idle kick time
- no credits or xp
i believe in some cases if you're dead during the wave you may miss some credits (case of objectives) so if someone is just leeching its easy to brought attention to the spot and let him/her to die wich is well deserved.

There should be auto AFK kicker.
Then AFKers would tune back in to make an action every couple minutes, problem still unsolved.

The second problem is the horrible behavior that will be encouraged. People will suddenly be actively encouraged to kill steal, intentionally get in the way of a sniper's shot, leave when they're behind the other players by a good bit, leave teammates to bleed out, and farm points instead of going for objectives.
Its the worst idea ever.

In terms of the lowest score not getting credits:this is absolutely stupid. For one thing my squad usually has a player dedicated to a flank that doesn't get as much action. Whoever's doing it for that game always has the lowest by a bit but it has nothing to do with skill/leeching. That player is covering us and its extremely helpful and useful. It would be completely unfair to not just that player but the entire team if this behavior was punished as noone would want to do it.
Speaking as the guy who generally fills that role, I agree wtih this logic.

The thing is, they will always find a group who aren't smart enough to do this / don't care. This may hinder them, but it does not solve the issue.Blest HR wrote...
