So what is it? : A different look into how Mass Effect 3 could have ended (in screenplay format.) So far, seven out of seven endings are done, and there are many different dialogue wheel options for paragons, renegades, and investigation.
How long is it? : He has gone into a lot of detail with his work. Right now it's over 190 pages! That means 27 pages of "choice-making boss battling" with Starchild and Harbinger, with tons of room for all the rest! Keep in mind that a good deal of the size is related to how screenplays are formatted. Large chunks of page are dedicated to paragraph breaks and single line placements (such as character names and locations.)
Who made it? : A writer (alias Grub) who has been watching this whole ME3 debacle unfold, has seen the endings, and wanted to make new endings as an exercise in writing "interactive fiction."
Why is it getting released here? : He let me read his work, and I liked it so much, I asked if I could post them here! He said yes, as long as I credited him.
Why should I read it? : Grub has tried finding all the ways that ME fans (and himself) were frustrated with the ending. This time there's a boss fight, conversation-style, to reflect your choices as a player, and they help determine which ending you would get. Got a beef with the Starchild's logic and want to rant about it? Did you ever want to tell him how stupid he is? Did you really, really want to say no to his solutions? Now you can!
Which endings are complete right now? : All of them! And here they are.
* "Heroes" - Shepard becomes the ultimate hero/heroine and defeats the Reapers his/her own way. (Grub's Favorite) Pg. 28
* "Destroy" - This is a rewritten Destroy ending, complete with the consequences of your actions, and reactions from team members and Shepard himself. Contains both "Rise" and "Hermit" sub-paths. Pg. 53
* "Control" - For both paragons and renegades. Like the destroy ending, this is retooled and has two different versions, each with a different mood and outcome. Pg. 73 & Pg. 83
* "Corruption" - What if Shepard was completely indoctrinated by Harbinger in the Crucible? What if he/she betrayed the galaxy? What if the Reapers won? This ending explores that possibility. Pg. 88
* "...To The End" - What if Shepard rejected Starchild's decisions and let the war play out on its own? Pg. 118
* "Synthesis" - A completely rewritten "Green" ending. What does merging all life in the Galaxy really do?
And what are the consequences of having the mastermind of the Reapers do it? Pg. 128
* "Miracle Man"/"Magic Woman" - Shepard defeats the Reapers and reunites with his/her team! (My favorite!) Pg. 138
And now Grub is working on character resolutions for the "Miracle Man"/"Magic Woman" ending!
Which character resolutions are complete right now? : Some, and they'll be sorted into "normal resolutions" and "final endings," the latter of which decide how Shepard spends the rest of his life (and with who!)
