"Perhaps the most exhausting thing about writing 13 endings for a story like this, and a hero of this sort of flexible nature, is the seemingly endless speech writing. I've never written so many $!*% speeches in my life, and constantly trying to find different ways to express similar ideas, or even new ones, is at once an incredible challenge, a grand opportunity to bone up, and a tremendous strain on my endurance in regards to writing a single sequence over and over again for three different base versions of Commander Shepard. If I wasn't constantly summating the complete soul of Mass Effect, the sphere of all possible climactic heroics and tragedies, I feel like I might've had this thing done months ago! Hahaha! *makes cartoony crazy person noises* But no, I really do enjoy it, and it's all for a good cause. Multiple ones, actually. So, yeah. Good times."

It is what made the end of ME3 so frustrating, because there was never an indication that Shepard could not accomplish a task. Yes it was his biggest obstacle, but he had proven everywhere else that he is capable of achieving impossible goals. So for the game to say "Nope, sorry you can't" at the last ten minutes contradicts this series long theme. Shepard is a Miracle Man/Magic Woman so let him become it officially with the final task.
Just a thought....

I like the idea of the title for the perfect ending being Miracle Man/Magic Woman. It fits towards the theme of Shepard being the Kirk like hero. Can't stop Saren? He did it. Can't get to Ilos? He did it. Can't kill a Reaper? He did it. Can't return from the Omega 4 Relay? He did it. Can't stop Cerberus? He did it. Can't unite the galaxy against the Reapers? He did it. You get the idea.

So true z_gun, so f***ing true.
Instead we got space magic:wizard:, when these endings are far superior, and fit better with the ME story

The idea of the two different Control endings is very good, but in the Paragon Control ending, what exactly is being implied? Why is everyone sick and depressed in the end?
my guess is that the entire galaxy banded together, and then got told that most of what it did didn't need to happen anyway, and there was this weird existential disconnect. like, they fought really hard and then, oh, nevermind, let's go home. and it's like, why did we fight if it ends like that?
that's my best take on it. guessing it also exists for people who thought control was anti-climactic and strange in the original ME3 retail endings.
btw, in the next version of the script, it has become the neutral control ending as opposed to paragon, and the new paragon control ending is now a multi-branch scenario where control can actually end positively.
also, mini-update from Grub that I forgot to post:
"Planning on whether or not to release next script before I tackle the EMS-dependant battle ending. It's going to be massive, and the current "negotiation" ending I'm doing right now is getting bigger than I hoped, too.
Both battle and negotiation endings factor in dozens of decisions made from across the trilogy, so there are going to be many little variations. The negotiation ending lets you win in the dialogue wheel, but you have to win by considering what kind of Shepard you've played. If you're a full-blown Renegade and you start talking like a Paragon, you're less convincing because the Starchild can look at your history and make judgments. There's room for some deviation, of course, and various levels of success - it's not black and white, so you can have the Starchild laughing at your Paragon acting like a ****face sometimes and still pull it off - but you have to be true to yourself for the best outcome.
And the EMS Battle ending will be more dramatic like the Heroes/Miracle endings. Lots of action-related choices. That might just be the biggest ending ever, with TONS of variations based on present and past choices, and may call for a separate script just to contain it all. But we'll see how it progresses down the line. Right now, I haven't really taken the big dive into it because I'm chiling out in the negotiation side of things and that's big enough as it is. So I might finish that first, polish off the other endings I'm doing (Paragon Control, Alternate Synthesis, more Companion Farewell work) and then release that.
Anyway, there's a vast amount of work to be done. It's like a mountain. But it's what this series deserves, and its fans too, and I hope it's good enough when all's said and done.
Cheers!"

Make sure Bioware gets a copy of this - in fact, make sure EVERYONE at Bioware sees this. It sounds fantastic!

And yes, it will be cool to send out your script to people (with a way to guarantee you are the source), though make sure it is fully proofread beforehand. Not that I doubt it will be well done, but just to catch any slip ups (it happens to me all the time). Can't wait either way. Still the best fanfiction ending I have read to date

Oh and will you create a fresh thread for the new script or just edit this a bit to let people know it is the full version?
bioware mods probably wouldn't like me making two topics :

grub's still working on it but he's taking a break right now as he feels he's been overloading on it. he doesn't want to grow to dislike writing it, or that he's pushing ideas too frequently. that and some real life things are coming up that are kinda nudging it out of the way for a bit
but he has not forgotten. so hang in there guys.
