there's no concrete date. it'd be unfair to you guys and to him to set one. but remember that the moment he releases the new update, this thread will be updated too, with a new date in the title. and he's definitely still working on it, there's just lots to do. he's basically taking on the responsibilities of the entire mass effect writing staff :

 I'd like to say these are truly spectacular. This Grub did really good. I read the whole thing and I found that I fell in love with most of the endings ( I didn't like control and synthesis, control was to harsh in my opinion and I believe synthesis shouldn't of ended like that but amazing regardless.) The miracle man ending was how I pictured the ending almost exactly. I just can't wait for the resolution of the other characters and the love interests endings , I want to see how Grub views Tali and Shepard  settling down on Rannoch. He did such a good job I could actually picture it in my mind.

These endings are truly fantastic! The corruption one was so badass and I loved how Garrus acted in that one.

he finished tweaking the heroes ending last night (this took a lot longer than he expected,) and he's already finished the version of Shepard's epilogue on Rannoch. now he's doing garrus vakarian's resolution and then it's off to work on the female version of the script

What's new in version 5?

FOR STARTERS: FEMSHEP! You can find her in the downloads section of the original post! let us know if there are any leftovers from maleshep!

Lots of subtlely (or not so subtlely) tweaked things.

What's changed the most? 

Big parts of the Miracle Man ending (or Magic Woman as it's called in the femshep version) in the beginning. Fight for your right to party! Similar changes made in the initial showdown with the Starchild. more intricate rebuttals and reasonings for Shepard to choose!

After MM/MW, You can now say goodbye to Garrus Vakarian, and settle down on Rannoch with Tali (and the Geth if you were a MONDO-AWESOME Shepard!) Discuss the completion of the mission with Joker!

Experience new shock and spine-chilling horror as Shepard laments internally during his/her futile attempts to regain his/her body in the Corruption ending!

Wow, just the read the whole thing. Best fan-made endings to Mass Effect 3 I've ever seen however, I didn't get what happened at the end of the two control endings. At the Paragon one, why was everyone feeling sick in the end? And in the renegade one, why does Shepard suddenly do exacty what the Reapers did (harvesting and processing people), and destroy Sol, Earth and many potential Reaper slaves?

btw, next long-term plans are for (besides more character resolutions,) more versions of the control and synthesis endings. reason is because some people like the ideas behind the endings, so there should be good versions where the cause "resolves satisfactorily."

A few notes on what I would consider a GOOD ending:

- The reapers need to remain esoteric. Giving them a space toddler leader is a good way to botch that. Do not explain why they are doing what they are doing, only small hints so people can come to their own conclusions and make their own theories. In other words: Show, don't tell.

- The reapers should really be above defeat. At most, they should only be delay-able. For instance, using a sabotaged mass relay (perhaps with a redefined use for the crucible) to shoot them so far out into dark space that it'd take them a million years just to get back to the galaxy. Since the reapers were entirely concentrated in the Sol system, perhaps Earth could be converted into the energy needed to perform such a task. This sacrifice would leave the humans homeless, but heroes to the rest of the galaxy.

ALL of these possibilities are amazingly well crafted! Thanks for sharing! You took the story in ways I hadn't thought when I was crafting the head-canon for my own stuff. My hat's off to you!

PS: would love your thoughts on my stuff, though it isn't QUITE as varied as your choices.

I would have waited another year and half for release if it meant this was part of the real ending. There are a few lines here or there that don't sound like Shepards way of speaking, a couple of the scenes are a little longer than they need to be, and some of the epilogue scenes could be cut for length, but it's all really solid and nothing that some peer review can't polish. It reads like it's actually part of the game. Bioware: Hire this guy!

EDIT: Don't forget to inclue the M/M romances with Kaiden and Cortez in your epilogues.
