Dear Bioware don't bother to make DA3. The people in this thread are not buying it.

I'm going to wait until a few people have played through it and then see what their opinion is. Of course, if the demo shows a paraphrase dialog wheel, I definitely won't be buying it.
Gaider has already said they will continue with the auto-dialogues, the dominant tone, and the paraphrasing. He said they won't show the entire dialogue:

Doesn't that leave a disconnect between what the the player wants his (or her) character to say, and what the protagonist actually says? If the protagonist ends up saying entire lines of dialogue that are different than what's actually chosen, it ends up running the risk of saying something entirely different than what was intended - which was the primary problem with the paraphrasing in Dragon Age II.
Let me be frank: there is no solution which will be the catch-all that satisfies everyone. Ideally we could look at some options where the player can set preferences (the dreaded toggle), but that's not going to be an option where we are writing two or three versions of the paraphrase for every single response in the game. That would be mind-boggling. There is a point where we're going to have to pick a route and try to implement it in the best way we can.
Again, this is something that we'll have to eventually show to convey our meaning, but we've some options. They all have their benefits and drawbacks-- and, yes, I agree not everyone is going to like them all equally, but then again y'all are hardly interchangeable.
I'll probably do the same as you will, wait and see how Dragon Age III actually is before I decide whether or not I'll purchase it. I'm not a fan of the continuing implentations of the auto-dialogue, the dominant tone, and the paraphrasing, but if the protagonist will be able to make significant choices that actually impact the story, and if the story is done well (with actual depth instead of making everyone out to be caricatures, i.e. the mages and templars in Dragon Age II), then I'll consider purchasing it.

Ah well, then they've lost me as a customer.

I've come to the conclusion DA:3 will be exactly like DA:Kirkwall, only prettier. They'll use more than three maps, the waves of enemies won't drop out of the sky, the default head won't have glowing eyes but everything else- same. Four conversations with your LI, set story arc and one ending, awesome button graphics, default head PC is the only one that looks any good, real time battle, voiced protagonist, dialogue wheel. There'll be a tonne of auto-dialogue and probably a multi-player component. The protagonist will push her/his LI onto a bed or against a wall before a kiss. (Someone at Bioware is very big into dominating their LI.)
So, the people who liked DA:Kirkwall will be happy with DA:3 and pre-order it. I didn't enjoy DA:Kirkwall. I don't like my chances of enjoying DA:3.
I'm going away to look tearfully at a screen shot of Alistair from DA:O, now.

Exactly what should they be working on? A new line of dating sims?
Surprisingly, I think there a lot of people who would buy such a thing.

That might change depending on gameplay footage and the demo.
