Got the hurricane last time, eagle this time. Was hoping for a valiant, 'cause I love sniping and supposedly the valiant is awesome. :C But from my brief use of the eagle in sp, I feel like I'm gonna hate it. And I'm sure it won't stack up to my carni or pally.

Could someone who likes the eagle explain why, or how it's used, or something? It seems worthless to me.

It's basically an SMG that gets to use pistol mods. Might be useful if you want a lightweight automatic weapon with the piercing mod or pistol taser, for example. I can't say for certain though, as I've only ever tried it on single player.

If you have the Phalanx V the eagle sucks. I got the hurricane I sigh.. Just my luck also no gold or sliver items in both victory and commendation pack. I ll try the hurricane... and see why people say its crap when its supposedly the best SMG in game.

I have the eagle and i will tell you this. You won't see it on sliver or gold and I have been in a lot of sliver matches about 50+ and 4 gold matches.

Ah maybe next weekend. I'm just glad I didn't get the Crusader again. For those of you who got your Com packs, what did you get?

Why did you promote six characters?  You could have gotten a hurricane for only two.  

Look at the bright side, the hurricane is one of the best sounding guns in the game.  I carry it around just so I can shoot it between waves and feel like a badass.

Oh, and the Eagle is near worthless for my playstyle. Fired it full-auto at a trooper on gold and the HP went down so... slow... ly... Switched to the Mattock to do some real damage.

WHY would you want that?

From what I hear it's a death machine in the hands of a Turian Soldier.

Though in the hands of anyone else the only thing it gets killed is its wielder.

I have used it on a Turian soldier and it is overrated.

To each their own.

The increased ROF pretty much negates the accuracy bonus. Only real advantage is the slightly tighter spread, otherwise the soldier's better, as I'd rather have a damage bonus than a ROF bonus. Even in a Turian soldier's hands, the thing is still only useful in melee weapon range. Basically, you're a korgan with less health and more ammo consumption.
