yea but that's not funny <_<

Im tired of funny.
IF they really planned this
the fans will have proven to be the worst group of ________ ever.

Not really.  How would you feel if you were married and your partner purposefully "forgets" your special anniversary so s/he could surprise you a month later with an announcement on future plans for the anniversary, catching you off guard?  The disappointment for that one month is perfectly legitimate, and I would argue, cruel and misguided, even if it wasn't done to purposefully disappoint.

Honestly, if I knew what they had in store for me, I would have kept my $60.

Sad but true

Here's a thought: let us know what you have in store so we can stop ****ing about this whole fiasco. There's nothing I'd rather do more than go back to enjoying the game I've sunk $200 and many more hours into. It wouldn't take more than a press release to get 90% of the retakers to shut up and wait patiently for any DLC to be released.

Agreed, the silence is really the worst part of this whole mess imo. Not only can I not get closure on the game, but I can't even move on from this disaster because they won't give me closure on that either. They just need to say something definitive at this point so I can move on.

Why do I expect the PAX demo will be with a fixed-audience that won't ask questions that really need to be answered?

Why do I feel like I'm about to get punched in the balls again?

Because EA has hired people to pretend to protest a game before, to get publicity. So it's completely within reason to assume they'd hire people to softball the bioware guys at PAX if it means they can play down the problem.

Because Hudson is on his way to your house right now.

Crazy thought:

Maybe Bioware didn't have time to finish endings, slapped something together and are now working on what would appear to be the most epic ending known in gaming. It would be the perfect summation of the entire experience, would give us the chance to reject Starchild and its logic and end the trilogy with a definite bang. And it would be free

Maybe they knew the endings would be crap and are going to announce it at PAX?

I used to be an idealist, but then I looked the publisher. Thanks for the laugh.

Right.

You all DO realize that "DLC" to continue a story in a game is not a new business model, right?  Heck, even Bioware has done it before.  No one was this outraged at having to pay TWENTY extra dollars to find out the true ending of their Bhaalspawn story.  Expansion packs happened all the time.

That's right, folks,   the EPIC WORLD-SAVING story of baldur's gate didn't end in BG2.  It ended in BG2's EXPANSION PACK.  ******rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggggggggggeeee!!!!!!!!!*******

And those are still considered some of the best PC games of all time.

Is it really so outrageous to think that maybe this whole thing was planned all along?  that the true end isn't released yet?  just like BG2:TOB, yanno...

quoting for truth and justice and because there aren't enough old school Bioware fans in here anymore.

There used to be a lot more of you. Hell, I was one of them myself before all this crap happened. At first, I believed the same thing as you are saying now--the ending was simply too crap for Bioware to have made without having some sort of ingenious future plan in mind.

But as the days go on with no information from them whatsoever and the few bits of information we DO get pointing towards no real fix, my faith is gradually eroded upon.

Gamble's statement was made before ME3 shipped. I assume this monumental backlash threw a wrench in their plans, so his comment may not have the intent it originally had.

Actually I think it was a couple days after release, but I still don't know the context.

He also didn't say anything about saves. He said you'd keep your copy of the game "forever".

If you guys are talking about this post:

Hardest. Day. Ever. Seriously, if you people knew all the stuff we are
planning...you'd, we'll - hold onto your copy of me3 forever.

It seems like it was made after the ending backlash had already begun. I doubt he would be so out of touch with the fanbase as to believe Omega or MP DLC would appease them, since it wouldn't address the ending issues at all.

Casey Hudson said there wouldn't be simple fetch missions

Casey Hudson said you didn't have to touch MP to get the maximum best ending in SP

Casey Hudson said the Rachni would make a huge deal in ME3

It was also said the endings wouldn't be a simple A, B, or C choice.

Alot has been promised and fell short...I'm not holding my breath.

Is Casey and Molyneux related, by chance?

Well you're sort of making my point for me.   IF the endings were both planned and created specifically to drive content sales,  it still means we didn't get a WHOLE game.

I'm not even opposed to DLC if what we get is a full expansion, but I'm not cool with purchasing an incomplete game and having the end of a story rationed out to me a little at a time.

But this was the same time as the "Day 1" DLC nonsense was still going on.

Which is why I could never tell the context. But I think somebody said the other day that he gave some sort of chat on the day, which may have preceded this Twitter message (if there was a chat, though, I'd think more people would have talked about it).

If you dont have internet then you are no longer part of Bioware/EA's business model anyway.  Even so, Jessica Merizan Tweeted that they were trying to make ALL dlc available in disc form for ME3 when asked that same question.

to the other stuff. yes it will be quite epic, cant wait to play it.

I don't understand why there are people who seem to be okay with the idea that a gaming company knowingly shipped out and had them pay for a game that wasn't finished.  Especially with the possibility existing that they could try to sell the real ending as a DLC.  That would set a horrible precedence in the industry.

How are people okay with this?  It'd be like going to McDonald's, ordering a combo meal, paying for it and driving off with your bag of food.  You get home, and all you have is fries and a drink.  You call them and they say, "Oh yea .. it wasn't finished yet ... come back next week and we'll have your burger ready for you."

I always thought that was a weird statement, who deletes their saves right after the game? Thought, I guess seeing some of the reactions, some people may have.

If fans knew what we hand in store for them, they would keep their saves. In our next series of games not ME or DA related, players will be able to upload their saves to activate the N7 armor set to start their new adventure, or they will be able to purchase it for 10 dollars!"

Besides the actual ending for ME3?

Knowing EA a bunch of multiplayer things. Just look at the recent Tiger Woods PGA game, golf course download maps each at about $5.

With the ending as bad as it is, a better question would be:
-Who would buy anything they released as a download?
