The ending was poetry. Thank you. Goosebumps all over.

Presupposition. It's like saying people who start the "I feel depressed" threads do it for attention, validation and internet hugs. Oh wait..

Sorry, but when this is poetry - your standards are abhorrently low and an insult to every great poet that ever was.

Good that you liked the ending, but phrasing it like that is just provocative.

Something tells me that the OP will be back with a slightly different opinion when the drugs wear off.

But since the ending is like poetry I have written a poem that is just as beautiful as the endings, enjoy!

Murder is red,
Genocide is blue,
Im commander Shepard,
So I can choose green too.

If you liked the ending good for you. I and many others didn't, and I hope Bioware provides us with an ending we find more satisfying.

I've noticed that most people who love the ending start by saying they were told it sucks first.

99% of the people I've talked to who went into the ending blind said it was some of the worst writing they'd ever seen in their entire lives, in anything, ever.

Coincidence?

I gave my brother fair warning, and he was aware of the colossal situation it was turning into online.  He still thought it sucked.  He can hardly bring himself to play the games now.

How many hipsters does it take to screw in a lightbulb?????

Oh just some obscure number, you've probably never heard of it.

And I do have 3 questions for the person who made this thread, so we can all understand where you're comming from.

How many British/European comic albums do you own and put in when meeting new people to prove you're unique?

Are you a professional student and if so:
Who was your favorite Gender studies or contemporary art professor?

It got me thinking too, but I cannot repeat my thoughts due to forum rules, something about not using profanity.

 I kept reading the most terrible things. The entirety of the game had me engaged like none before it and I've been playing for a very, very long time. I thought it could not be possible for the ending to be amiss.

I don't know what game those people who whine and hate and send cupcakes played.

In my game, the entire finale sequence was pure, intense poetry.

Thank you so much for bringing art into the 12 year old ridden medium of video games.

Mass Effect 3 is a masterpiece as is. Change whatever you want if management so decrees, but this is the true, beautiful and fitting ending to Mass Effect.

Peace.

I agree with you. The ending still has a strong emotional effect on me. It was very well done.

Where I do sort of differ with you though is that the medium of video games is alot older than 12 years. I would say that the first game that really showed that they can be art is Another World over 20 years ago. That was the first game where I was moved by a video game.

Lets see here;

MY friend, the things that do attain
The happy life be these, I find:
The riches left, not got with pain;
The fruitful ground; the quiet mind;

The equal friend; no grudge; no strife;
No charge of rule, nor governance;
Without disease, the healthy life;
The household of continuance;

The mean diet, no dainty fare;
Wisdom joined with simpleness;
The night discharged of all care,
Where wine the wit may not oppress:

The random starchild, colours offered ;
Such red as may destroy the quiet mind;
Green and join thyself with thine fruitful ground,
Neither wish life, so choose the blue and achieve but nothing.

Yep - thats how My Friend, the things that do attain would have looked if Henry Howard took a leaf out of BioWars book.

Makes total sense really. Good call. Poetry for sure. Big lead up, really made sense in the context.

Glad at least one of us likes it. Sad that the rest does not (including me).

But I'm starting to understand why we didn't like it.

Here's a poem from the real brain behind Bioware.

"Oh freddled gruntbuggly/thy micturations are to me/As plurdled gabbleblotchits on a lurgid bee.Groop I implore thee, my foonting turlingdromes. And hooptiously drangle me with crinkly bindlewurdles,Or I will rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon, see if I don't!"
Here's a picture of him

And if you don't like Green either,
Then bad luck to you.

Congratulations! You're one of the few who actually like the ending. To the most of us it's a poorly written, cheap, filled with plotholes, rushed, unprofessional, inconsistent with the rest of the story piece of crap.

Out of curiosity - what did you like about the ending the most?

I honestly wanna know what everyone posting these "I love the endings" threads will say, if the Indoctrination theory does turn out to be true?

(I'm not saying I believe in the indoc theory, I just kinda see it as Bioware's only way out at the moment)

Some people genuinely like the ending (okay, I don't understand that, but people are entitled to their opinions), but if someone starts off with accusations of "whining", yeah, it's a troll.
