Giving enough gifts to morrigan to save back-pack space, that I end up in a romance with her.

I don't know how to handle this. I've never had a relationship that worked this way before :D

Oh there's a witty one-liner about buying a woman's affections with gifts being the norm in there somewhere.

Yes, Morrigan seems to be your average gold digger. Take take take, then wants your baby...

She oddly has the most gifts available to her.... but maybe thats because its so easy to ****** her off.

"Don't help the evil demon" - Morrigan disagrees -3

Wow! You hit it right on the mark! I felt the same way...when my awkward story happened, I actually called my husband at work for some reassurance and moral support.

Haha you made me think of my own two year old son. I wonder what he tells the little girls at daycare...maybe something along the lines of "This is all good now sharing cookies and boogers, but you know we will probably go to different kindergardens..."

I just feel like the more I play the game, the more deceiving Alistair is. He gets so bent out of shape if you break up with him, but seems to have no issue breaking up with you later on...grrrr to Alistair. He says he cant imagine being without you...ever, but still has no problem making you feel like you were nothing to him. Stupid little man...I will always have a special place for him...but in the future no more romances with him.

Heh, I tried a few playthroughs to get different outcomes...before I read up on the spoilers and realized there was no real way out of most of it.  You can mitigate some of it, but you can't really change Alistair's ultimate path.  It's really impossible to value "love" over "I have to do what other people say I have to do."  And especially after playing some different origins and going that route, it's impossible to have Alistair be a knight in shining intelligent armor.  He's an idealistic tin can who can't think out of his Chantry upbringing with daddy issues and a moral code that makes zero sense in the whole scheme of things.

Knowing that my husband and I would have whooped the Archdemon's ass and made it home in time for supper is reassuring.  In the end and after some discussion I realize I projected my own security on a character whose writing oversold the character itself.

I'll still go the romance route, just because I adore Steve Valentine's voice.  I'm just lucky that my husband's voice is actually better than his.  All in all that's an excellent thing.  But it is very much like keeping my son alive.  Affection instead of romance.

I'm so glad to hear that you called your husband too.  And the boogers and cookies things...on the whole, I'd rather have you in my party.  You're clearly more romantic where it counts.

Yeah, Morrigan is the casual "love 'em and leave 'em" type of girl that I always end up falling for hard

Yeah, upon entering The Pearl, she mentions something about how in her experience everyone pays for sex.

I think of it as bartering something I have so little of (testosterone) for something I have so much of (estrogen).  A mutually beneficial transaction.

I have to say my character kissed Leliana and it was so much more romantic than that horrid Love scene...ugh the love scenes are awful. Awkard funny.

And don't ask the woman in Redcliff for a kiss as a reward if you have Leliana and Morrigan in your party. If you actually take the kiss, Leliana hates you, if you say that you were joking, then Morrigan gets all pissy

Aww thanks!

Lol, my husband has been too funny with the whole Alistair thing. At first, he almost seemed a bit threatned by Alistair during my first playthrough...he seemed to get a lot more affectionate while I was playing the game. Now, he seems quite content to comfort me when I am all sad at what a bastard (no pun intended) Alistair is. It just cracks me up. Same as when he is playing...it just seems so funny to say:

"Oh honey, sleep with Lelianna, she actually cares about you. Morrigan is just a b**ch, and you know she will just leave you..." there is a conversation I NEVER thought I would have with him. Got some stranges looks from my brother in law who wasn't familiar with the game.

The love scene with Alistair was sweet...the love scene with Zevran...made me blush a little.

Huh? The guys have different love scenes? I'm pretty sure that the Leliana and Morrigan scenes were the same with just different characters.

I think I ruined the whole game for my husband.  I'm sure he feels he's played already by proxy, he's just watched me play.  He's never really made it much past a first ally unlock.  Whereas I've been playing straight for a month.

Son:  Mommy, what's that?
Me:  It's a dragon named Flemeth.
Husband:  Flemeth's a dragon?
Me:  Oops.
Husband:  God Damn it, woman!

He sat through me going through the final conversation tree with Alistair over and over, seeing if I could unlock a different route and having the same ending happen, to where he got to the point of saying "Stupid Alistair!" or "Assshooooole!" a la "A Fish Called Wanda" on cue.  And we decided a game where you took a shot every time someone said "taint" would be good.

He says he wouldn't let me die under any circumstances either, and so I think he likes Alistair for that reason.

I'm just irritated he wouldn't let ME save the world.  That way I could have love AND save the world.

Fortunately I have more respect for men than you have for women.

My husband wouldn't have backed down in front of the Landsmeet because I was of the wrong race.  He wouldn't have sacrificed love over duty, considering he could have made any woman a noble by decree as King and then adopted.  And if anybody didn't like it, ran them through.

There are OPTIONS the game doesn't present, but came to my mind immediately.  Fortunately because I'm married to someone that I'm used to him being persuasive, creative, and uncompromising where love comes into the picture.

Jeeze I think we have alot in common (as do our husbands it would seem lol). I feel the same way...and in a sense it is that way for us. Looong story short, my husband is french and I am english (Canadian), and well sometimes in the province of quebec (where we live) they don't always get along. But my husband loves me, and stands up for me when some people are not very nice.

They are slightly varied. Also, Zevran is 'bottom' for male humans but 'top' for females and male elves. I have successfully resisted the urge to check how he does it with dwarfs, however.

He is awfully quick to let you be The Decider after the wardens are wiped out, even though he's been a warden for six months and you've been one for all of a day.  If he hadn't had such a sexy voice, he'd have been firmly in the Friend Zone for that kind of move. =P
