Omg I'm lol'ing. We're talking a real federal court of law right? Not like Judge Judy hosted by G4? You can claim false advertising left and right, that doesn't make it true. For a video game you would need something blatant like Namco releasing Soul Calibur 6 and then when you buy it and put it in, it's actually like Forza 4.

Really ?
How about soul calibur promising 16 fighter and all of them will be unique, not color pallete swap of 3 fighter  A, B and C
while then delivers exactly  3 fighter, A, B, C which actually only 1 fighter with diffrent costum color ?

Im seriously asking, since im not familiar with US law.

You know what this thread makes me angry. Like really mad.

I hate lawyers, I hate people who think they can sue. OP im beginning to hate you. return you game. burn it. or do whatever you want with it. boycott them, spread hate and lies about them, whatever.

but if you go to court against my favorite game company over this bs arguement. i dont care how mad i might be at them right now. I will put up my wallets worth of cash for their lawyers to make you pay. so there. bite me.

You sir, need to take a chill pill. To quote the Joker from Batman: Why so serious?

It is unlikely this would get anywhere and if it does, it's a bloody shame, but it's no reason to get worked up over it. Here, take an A/B/C cupcake

just gtfo with suing, its not a joke to me. you guys are.

Scared of fighting back? Do you not feel a sense of having been done wrong? What has promised/advertised and what we paid $60 is two different things.

That is called LYING, and when you LIE selling a product that qualifies for FA.

I don't think anyone wants to a) put up with the tedium that is a lawsuit in the first place B) getting the anger of their fellow fans on them for suing and c) hurt the company in the first place should they win in a court of law.

Your worries, anger and insults are quite unnecessary and lumping everyone together in as "you guys" is quite a narrowminded thing to do, since many of us surely do not want to harm Bioware?

remember the Jedi code,
There is no emotion, there is peace;)

Was going to post something, but decided to hold off till Friday to let things play out.

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but plan to comment on the methods.

class action lawsuits disgust me. The Lawfirm will get 150 million dollars and the clients will get checks for $4.50.

I hate the endings just as much as the next guy, but suing them over this is a little more than ridiculous. Especially since 90% of the game is damn amazing.

and 99 percent of the company sued is amazing.

Its like suing your grandma because she said her apple pie would be the best one ever this time but she left it in a little to long.

it should be much more amazing if they actually keep their promises (even when excluding the ending).
The rachni queen for example.

But we become a joke when we ask for it. Whether you like it or not, "financial compensation" is a serious problem in the US. Freaking Weird Al wrote, performed, and released an entire song about it.

For rational people, the sue happy tendency of the populace is a source of shame and revulsion.

IF you want to take BiowEAr to court over this, financial compensation should be OFF THE TABLE. File an FTC complaint, do whatever but NEVER demand ANY form of financial compensation. You immediately and irrevocably paint yourself with the staining brush of greedy consumers.

You can make a much easier case saying that all of the endings are different rather than using the same character with different colors, since Bioware could easily argue that the ending is much more than the colors. Besides, this isn't the first time a game has been sold without an ending. Technically CoD MW2 had no real ending. FF13-2 has no real ending. The first Golden Sun has no real ending. It's really difficult to define an ending to a video game.

If you're going to sue ME3 because you feel it doesn't have a real ending, there is a whole list of other games that need to be on your radar for suing too. Like my previous post said. Golden Sun, Final Fantasy, and CoD all need to be sued for not having endings. Oh, and Halo too.

No. Im simply asking can Namco be sued if what I wrote really happen. Not forza thingie

on unrelated note: I dont recall CoD, FF13-2, or even golden sun advertises heavy selling on their ending.

of cuorse. Your family member are not billing anyone by the hour for their expert opinion on this thread.
So I consider a free 1 word is already very generous.

Actually it's more like your grandma did make you the most amazing pie ever, but the very last bite was packed full of arsenic mixed with fecal matter.

The difference is, they didn't BLANTANLY LIE TO SELL THEIR GAME.

Look I'm not prepared, nobody for that matter is prepared to stand in front of a judge and expect anything more than fees and apologies from EA.

However, if PAX is retake omega and no mention of the Endings, then it's time the FTC heard our complaints in force.

If that doesn't work, then we'll see about court, but lawyer fees with cases like thise costs 100,000s of dollars.

Honestly, I don't know for sure. I think Namco COULD lose a lawsuit like that, but it'd be iffy, I don't see it happening, and it's irrelevant either way.

And on the unrelated note, it depends how you look at Mass Effects advertising. To be honest, a few articles upplaying the ending aren't heavy advertisement on the ending.

Just remember: if you lose, you get to pay EA's legal costs at least. You really sure you got an airtight case and there is not a ton of precedent against it? If you really think so, then go and sue. Else, you're just a-trollin'.

GL with that class action lawsuit so that the lawyers make off with all the money and we end up with coupons that give us discounts on buying more stuff from EA.

Give it a rest, seriously.

I disagree that Mass Effect lied to sell the game. Honestly, if the creators had come out and said they weren't happy with their game and thought it wasn't very good, I guarantee even half of the people who bought it first day would have still bought it anyways. Bioware never had to lie to sell ME3. ME and ME2 already sold ME3 on everyone.
