Dude do you not see how slightly tweaked those are? Anderson dies in all of them btw. It's such a minuscule difference that it's insulting. We went from 16 vastly different endings to this?

And our point? Ending movie sequences are the same. So what? Saves times and is efficient than to render completely different scenes to do the same thing for different endings.

I've highlighed the problem with your sentence.

No one said or claimed that there were 16 VASTLY different endings. Please provide the EXACT quote by anyone at EA/BioWARe, any PR statement, and Press Release, or Media Alert that said that there was 16 VASTLY different endings.

I made no mention that the ENDINGS were VASTLY different. I stated that there were 16 endings, and they were based on the decisions you made from ME1 through ME3.

You assumed there would be VASTLY different endings. Sorry, but I saw nothing and heard no claims by anyone that there were VASTLY different endings.

Play the game and Pay attention to your choices instead of pressing X to speed through conversations (or turn of the autmoatic dialog choices).

Interview with Casey Hudson (Director) 1/10/12
http://www.gameinfor...PostPageIndex=2

Interviewer:
[Regarding the numerous possible endings of Mass Effect 2] “Is that
same type of complexity built into the ending of Mass Effect 3?”

Hudson:
“Yeah, and I’d say much more so, because we have the ability to build
the endings out in a way that we don’t have to worry about eventually
tying them back together somewhere. This story arc is coming to an end
with this game. That means the endings can be a lot more different. At
this point we’re taking into account so many decisions that you’ve made
as a player and reflecting a lot of that stuff. It’s not even in any way
like the traditional game endings, where you can say how many endings
there are or whether you got ending A, B, or C.....The endings have a
lot more sophistication and variety in them.”

“We have a rule in our franchise that there is no canon. You as a player decide what your story is.”

Interview with Mike Gamble (Associate Producer) 2/2/12
http://www.eurogamer...me-people-angry

“Every decision you've made will impact how things go. The player's also the architect of what happens."

Whether you're happy or angry at the ending, know this: it is an ending.
BioWare will not do a "Lost" and leave fans with more questions than
answers after finishing the game, Gamble promised.

“You'll
get answers to everything. That was one of the key things. Regardless
of how we did everything, we had to say, yes, we're going to provide
some answers to these people.”

“Because a lot of these plot
threads are concluding and because it's being brought to a finale, since
you were a part of architecting how they got to how they were, you will
definitely sense how they close was because of the decisions you made
and because of the decisions you didn't make”

I agree... and if people where serious about funds for a lawyer I think we could get it. Hell we raised $80,000 in 10 days for charity to express our displeasure and I am sure giving enough time we could get the money for a good lawyer.

Dear OP

Do you realise how pathetic you look in the eyes of the public that don't know about the Mass Effect series?

Here's what the newspaper article would look like:
"Gamer sues videogame company over ending."

Instant reaction over not knowing any facts would be simply that you didn't like the ending, and in the end this is what it boils down to, you didn't like the ending. There are thousands of Mass Effect fans who had no problems with the ending (myself included).

omg there are actually 16 :(

i thought there were like 7 variations so an ending dlc would give us the real 16 endings. But if there are all ready 16 then this is what they meant all along. This is depressing

,,,

That is not "ending". That is "Do you get A, A and B, or A, B and C options".  Collector base does not change the ending, it changes "score" requirement you need to achieve same endings.

To make it simple, those are requirements for ending, in thsi case your EMS score. Complete this and that, and you need X EMS to get the option. That is not an ending.

These are the endings:

I'm going to decline comment on the legal issue, but your very first premise is wrong. The number one rule of business is to turn a profit . Customer satisfaction is a means to encourage future profit via repeat customers and good reviews. This is most evident among companies that produce commodities or nessecitied, not to mention scams, which are business that sabotage customer satisfaction deliberately.

This is not to say customer satisfaction is never important, but any company of significant size does not seek to satisfy customers for its own good, but as a means to an end. In EA and Bioware's case, they risk their reputation in the industry and they risk future sales if they do nothing. While as individuals, I am confident that every Bioware employee wants his customers to be happy with their product, but it is foolish to imagine that that is their number one goal. Their number one goal is to sell more video games. Happy customers means more sales.

Oy vey...one more time

Score requirement is part of the basis to get the required amount for the different endings. If you don't destroy it, you are missing out on 300 points. There are crazy people out there who will try the game with the lowest amount of assets just to see what it would affect.

We've all seen the suicide mission in ME2 videos, if you don't upgrade your ship weapons and take on the Collector base at the end.
