We've got enough prothean garbage.

We need collectors or something else.

Yeah I'd love to see more Collectors too. But if we do get a mission with Collectors, its going to mention the Protheans regardless. Might as well build on what we already know about both groups right?

And I did outline a scenario where the Collector's would pop up again.

I'd honestly just love to see more Protheans being alive.

If Javik is alive, it'd make sense. Even then, their should be plenty of their ships still around somewhere in the galaxy, and if we got an entire free fleet laying around, dear God. That'd be nice.

I don't know why they just didn't do what the Reapers did, make themselves a few live ships and send a fleet out into Dark Space.

Hmmm haven't thought of that before. It'd certainly be an interesting premise to explore.

I don't know why, but the title of this thread reminds me of General Stubbs losing 100 Baneblades in Soulstorm...

I doubt that they would release DLC that requires other DLC (From Ashes) to play. Unless they bundle the two together.

"Well gee admiral hackett how didn't we notice a giant fleet of ships belonging to a long dead race just floating around the galaxy?"

Sorry but this idea is just bad. It ruins the whole idea of the Protheans being a dead race. Also the Reapers can find a single ship scanning debris. How would a whole fleet go unnoticed for 50k years?

Javik was a mistake. He made more plotholes than an explosion. He is about as story intensive as Space Hamster. Trying to explain anymore of them would just be fan service. Removing all mystery from not only the Protheans but defanging the Reapers as a threat. Thats what the from ashes dlc was meant to do. Show that even the best laid plans failed in front of the Reapers.

Protheans are meant to be a mystery. They're great as a mystery. Whats next? Asking for DLC of the race before the protheans?

Did you read my original post? In all of the scenarios I outlined they are dead. It's just we think that there might be some remnant left and we go searching. Along the way we find out what really happened to the last survivors and gain a little more knowledge about how they influenced the galaxy. We'd also get more war assets too.

One Javik was bad enough, but an army of them. No thanks.

That's not what the original post says.

*Reading comprehension fail*

At the beginning we think that there's some last remnant around. But as we go on the search, we find out they're all dead. However, along the way we get to find out what happened to them and how they affected the galaxy in ways we couldn't even imagine. We also get to pick up some war assets too.

^There, thats what this idea is about. If you can't read that than I can't help you. Also, if you don't like what they did with the Protheans you shouldn't bother posting in a Prothean related thread. It's a waste of my time and I'm sure it's a waste of yours.

Shame you came up with this idea and not BW. It would make a great DLC and fit really well.

I actually like this idea.
Now if we could only have an alternate appearance for Tali without the mask and fixed endings and I might sweep this ending debacle under the rug.

Might

Yeah and while we're at it lets get a history DLC that just brings every race from previous cycles, I mean me3 already desacrated the lore like a Vietnamese prostitute in a bukakke session they might as well go for gold here

You might've missed the first post. Y'know, the one that explains that the Protheans still remain dead. It's just technology recovered and a few missions exploring their history a little more.

I personally think From Ashes dealt with it well. I didn't have a problem with it.
I had a problem with the violation of the entire point of the series at the end of it for a nihilistic, artsy ending that boiled down to three undesirable options and then didn't show the results of said options, instead jumping to a vague non-descript future where Buzz Aldrin tells me to buy DLC.

Well to each their own, I agree with you on the endings but for 10 bucks I want more than 30 minutes of vanilla gameplay and a few very brief dialog options
