That...was fantastic.
Bioware. Do this. Nao.

Didn't the reapers disable the mass relays and isolate all the prothean systems from each other? It's unlikely that the protheans would have been able to assemble a large united fleet (although this may have been retconned in ME3).

It's already easy enough to get enough war assets.

I agree OP, GREAT idea. It would certainly add an awesome new element to the game.
And I like the point values you put out, because lets face it, Prothean ships would be BAD ASS.
However I'd still only bother playing it, if the 2500 fleet (more than half the combined strength of the galaxy) would give us the option of a conventional victory.

Thanks and well said! I would've love to see a conventional victory too, but the game as it stands, doesn't allow it I'm afraid. Which is a shame, I'd love to be able to tell the Catalyst to shove it and rally the fleets together to win.

I definitely see Protheans being more prevalent in future DLC as well... I complete expect a DLC that gets us more Prothean war assets in SP too, then also gets us Prothean characters in MP.

Quite aware of that which you speak.
I'm afraid that the conventional victory option would only exist if Bioware had invested some time into making REAL diverging endings.

I certainly hope you're right. Prothean characters in MP would be interesting, but I hope their backstory isn't too space magicky.

Yeah, I'd like to see a decent reason for bringing Prothean MP characters in to the equation.
If there are enough Protheans found, maybe that'd be enough to piece together some semblance of the Prothean's former culture to be able to clone the Protheans (maybe using genetic material stored in ship databanks or something) and bring the Prothean race back, though less empirical and more in line with what the galactic community is now as a result of Shepard's influence.
Alternatively, just keep them dead and have the few Protheans found act as MP characters to give their lives for the war, to save the galaxy for this cycle.

This is a great idea...But it already is rumored that BW is doing a dlc based on the collectors. They many already be doing something like this.

Thanks! And that sounds interesting, I'd love to see it. Do you have a link by any chance?

Personally, I hope BW goes crazy with the dlc with ME3 but with expansions not stand alone realeses. Use it to add
on new thing and fix thing they ran out of time to finalize, like Mornith, Jack's final romace scene, and more cerberus stuff.

Just to let you know, A0170, I have posted your idea into my collection of ideas thread (the one thats in my link, go take a look folks!). I have edited it to remove the pictures to save space, and I added a link to this thread so people will come here to discuss it.
Let me know when you next decide to write up a great DLC idea, I'll add it to mine again for sure!
