[SOLVED]Crashes as soon I get to the the "start new game page"

1. What version of the game are you playing: physical disc or digital download (along with which vendor)? Physical Disk, no patches installed.

Details about your problem.
1. What is the nature of the problem you are seeing?
I recently bought and installed Dragon Age 2 on my computer. It goes
through the animated logo, wings and sword screen, and just as I am
about to hit "New Game", the game crashes. I uninstalled, upgraded the
Direct X on the CD, reinstalled and still no go.

2. When did the problem start occurring?
     Can't even play game
3. Where does your problem occur?
     Can't even play game
4. What are the steps in replicating the problem?
Nothing, after the animated logo comes up the game just crashes
5. Have you modified your game in any way?
None

I am able to run Dragon Age Origins just fine, not sure why this isn't working for me.

There are TONS of omitted details pertaining to reporting a problem that you chose to leave out (compared to the forum's SOP).

You still won't answer with a driver ID for the graphics card or audio processor, and if you haven't patched it yet, why you won't do that is beyond my ken. There are nVIDIA drivers, such as 275, as already pinned, that are a guaranteed crash software.

Basic Hardware Specification Chart (Empty so far)

Processor Manufacturer: AMD / Intel
Processor Name / Type: Athlon X2 / Pentium D / C2D / dual core / quad, etc.
Processor Speed: ?.? Ghz
Operating System / Service Pack: WindowsXP with SP #?, Win7, Vista ?
System RAM: ? ? GBs (MBs, if less than 1024 ? )
Video (GPU) Manufacturer: ATI / Nvidia (only those two are supported, PERIOD, so please answer which of them you have)
