Seriously.

If the ending to ME3 is not fixed, which a few posts have suggested from comments made on twitter and by EA. Then what is the point of releasing any ME3 DLC?

BW have already stated that any DLC would be pre game ending.

With such a bad ending, bad feeling within the community the whole "whats the point in doing a 2nd playthrough" feeling. The financial benefits of any DLC are in my opinion not worth it for BW & EA.

Therefore I see a similar situation as with DA2 but worse and BW / EA just cancelling or not bothering with any ME3 DLC (unless its already been done) and moving on to the next project.

Your (civil) thoughts please....

There are usually enough idiots who will buy it, at least the fist time.

You may well be correct though ME3's planned DLC will be cut short.

I guess and fear, they will massively support multiplayer instead of story DLCs.

They shoot themselves in the leg, when made the ending we have right now. There is no use for pre-end DLC, as it doesn't change anything and just makes the agony even worse. Post-end DLC? What color would You like to see on screen?

My thoughts exactly with the "agony" of the ending you just don't wont to go through it all again, so all of the possible DLC that could have resolved open questions (Omega) etc, you just don't see the point in playing it.

That's the point... BW won't give a **** about it, because will be ALWAYS some idiots that buy anything from them. It's like giving corn to pigeons. Because of them, game companies will continue to do this type of bussines and no matter what **** they realease, every ****ing time they'll have idiots to consume their garbage.

Apparently a DA2 expansion was cancelled; I'm guessing it would've never been commercially viable because no one would have bought it, and so it was better to move the team onto their next project. I think ME3 may get dlc this year, but if it's not successful they won't continue to support it with new content next year.

Likewise, I doubt we'll get another ME game any time soon. It would have had a mountain of issues to overcome anyway, even without the reaction to ME3's ending.

actually thinking about it some more, the only DLC that they will release is MP DLC which is really really sad. That assumes that MP is successful.

Any one know the answer to that, is MPsuccessful/popular?

Well, DA2 managed 2 story DLCs. And that game sold quite a bit less well, and got quite a lot worse reviews.

I would slight disagree with you. I know DA2 got a lot of fan hate, but it also got a lot of fan luv. I would say its about 60/40 with fans either hateing it or loving it.

Now with ME3 its totally different.

95% of fans absolutly love the game (me included) but hate the last 10 mins and ending.

But in the end it all boils down to sales and expected sales.

Fans loving or hating it only comes into the equation if it's measureable in money.

I know its hard to believe, but the forums are not really all that representative of the larger game market. The vast majority of people who bought the game don't come here and aren't subjected to the daily calls for anger and regret.

There will be DLC and Bioware will sell a lot of it.

The mp really really will steal the DLC thunder,as it did the production in the SP campaign. Sad ,since i felt Mass Effect 2 DLC was top notch quality.I already played ME 3 and at first was wanting DLC but i know thay will over charge for half hou to an hour tops in content. No thanks EA ,it was fun while it lasted.

I'm fairly certain the first DLC (the one to fix the ending) is going to be free.

Can you imagine if it wasn't? They already shot themselves in the foot with dragon age 2 and this entire fiasco. They're running out of bullets at this point.

Also i seriously hope they don't waste development time on the crappy multiplayer regarding dlc's. Focus on what ME is.. SP.

DLC is released is probably going to be like Mass Effect 2, there will be both story and fluff based DLC. Since we had a story based DLC on launch day, I am guessing the next one will be fluff, but the one after that will be story again. Anything more then that will probably be based on DLC sales.

You're living in denial if you think the DLC will be free.

I hardly ever buy DLC anyway. The DLC I do have comes from GOTY versions or in the case of ME2 having the PS3 version.

Might make an exception for Dead Kel, heard nothing but good things about that one but zero interest in anything ME3 related.

€A will pretty sure tell bioware not to make it for free but bioware it self might make it free since they know they pissed us clearly off with this awful ending we have now. thats the least they can do, is to make the DLC ending free. if this ending makes finally sense and i have mroe choices and can kick this retarded kids face in and shoot his ass off, im happy and will pay for upcoming DLCs.

Here's the thing: EA is BW, BW is EA.

I'm fairly sure that the first DLC will be a new crew member and a map pack for the mp.
As much as i want an ending that wasn't utterly ridiculous, i don't think BW will change it.

My reason for thinking it will be a new crew member is , that's what they did with ME2 with kasumi, but also the life support room on the Normandy is the only room unoccupied (apart from the bathrooms) and it just seems like somewhere where a squad mate would be.

The evidence of people not liking the ending is everywhere - polls, forums, social networks, news articles, reviews, etc. I haven't seen any evidence that suggests a majority liked the ending.

ME3 DLC will not sell as well as it could've.
