The Geth attack people who enter their space because
"when the creators believed they had the advantage, they have attacked 100% of the time"
legion on tali's loyalty mission

Besides the whole clearly present distinction of the creators themselves, under what sort of sane logic does that excuse attacking people who aren't their creators?

in this very scene we are talking about legion mentions that Shepard is the first ogranic to openly cooperate with them,
also
they dont think like we do, they also dont understand how we think, so when the quarians attack them every chance they get, naturaly they defend themselfs, so if other ships enter the veil, they attack them so they cant attack the geth (they learnt that fromt he quarians, who tried to kill them just in case they might rebel)

i also like the idea the Legion was unit Zero-One, the unit that asked if it had a soul
(it was hinted but not stated)

It is pretty much directly stated he's the first Geth to fire upon and kill a Creator. Makes his own beliefs and subsequent sacrifice more pointed.

"Isn't that the rifle you used to carry around?"
"It's... an efficient model".

I found it a bit suspicious that the memories always painted the geth as victims or at least sympathetic and assumed Legion was manipulating what Shepard saw.

Liked him a bit more for that.

Yeah, they kind of made it somewhat clear that Legion was the first one, but here's my question - if masked quarians represent Shepard's own memories of what the quarians look like, than how come the sniper rifle is the actual rifle from hundreds of years ago? Shouldn't it be just another projection of Shep's experiences?

It probably IS Shepard's memories being used. Hence Legion's hesitation, he realizes that it gives him away.

If your argument rests on 'because they're too dumb to make distinctions', that's the sort of thing that really should have been brought up in the game.

Cause it's a really, really big flaw to have for it to just be brushed over.

It wasn't much of a game now was it. Run around linear paths and shoot lego while listening to Legion.

That said I admire the writing and concept of it, and I do think it is a worthy addition to the game that breaks up the standard gameplay nicely. I would stop short of calling it the best mission in the game/gaming however.

Hard to believe I'm the only one, I do know that some people hated it.

I liked it because it adds credence to the only thing that can save Mass Effect 3, which is the IDT.

You process our memories by using your own. How many creators have you witnessed unmasked?

Forget indoctrination theory, Shepard is still trapped in the geth consensus by the end of the game right Joker?

I enjoyed it. It gave more interesting insight on the Geth, and the conflict with the Quarians.

I also enjoyed it. I thought it was an interesting way of presenting a lot of exposition without a giant cut-scene. It made for a nice change of pace in the middle of all the crazy going on across the rest of the galaxy map. And I would hate to pass up a chance to learn more about Legion. He's a fascinating character.
