What's God got to do with it? It's like saying "I believe in God therefore Uwe Boll's movies makes sense".

My Shepard believes in God, or some kind of Gods, but those creatures (the Reapers) were neither angels nor demons. They were mechanical monsters. The Star Child was not God. He was a rouge IA, probably many millenia old, probably Harbringer.

Sadly enough, God doesn't interfiere...

If you've played the Assassin's Creed games, Starchild doesn't seem as crazy.

You know me better than my closest friend. I am part of the majority that controls the internet.

You truly are a hero.

Wouldn't most god fearing Shepards see AI child god as extremely dangerous? Think about it. Someone is asking Shepard to rewrite 'God's' creation in synthesis. For most religiously minded people, that would be a big hell no.

Unless you worship techno gods, or something. Deism?

I believe in God and I think the ending doesn't make any sense at all. It appears that we are at odds.

All I can say is AC3 better not muck up the fantastic story they have going now with a dumb ass copied ending like ME3 did.

Funny thing...especially considering that the Reapers believe in an infinite evolution which most religions don't hold as having any truth despite scientific facts.

We have a saying, here in France.

"Vous tressez la corde pour vous pendre. "

I never had the chance to use it before. Thanks.

OP can you please explain? I would like to understand the ending aswell.

My friend,

Do you really want to know? It took me seven years of my life to understand such a thing. If you really want to know I will try my hardest to explain.

Are you sure?....

Thetri... I will remember your genuine request... I'm over thirty. My knowledge may help you understand the ending. I offer this without pride  & ego. Do you really understand, or are you really trying to understand?

I roleplayed my Shepard in a unique view, therefore I understood the ME3 ending. Does that make me a monster or a saint?

Did I understand why the normandy crashed? No. Did I understand how shep got back down to the surface of earth? No. But did I understand everything else? YES, to the highest degree. I've only seen the ending two times.

Obvious troll is obvious....really bringing up religion now?

How does believing in god have anything to do with picking synthesis in a video game?

Nothing at all.

Nope. As believer, I can tell you that you are trying to "fix" the ending using God as a patch. Nothing more.

Sorry to say this, but I have ALL bioware games. Original, even the ones that never reached my country on O.V.

KOTOR2 ending was senseless because they run out of time for development. Mass effect 3 is the same.

When you call God and ask him "why do you do nothing with the evil people on earth", the day that He will answer, the answer will be: "I have done something against the evil on the earth... I made you".

So, HOLD THE LINE.

And space magic :wizard:

Believing in god has nothing to do with this ending one way or the other. Unless your saying by believing in god someone follows blindly and doesnt mind plotholes that makes no sense. In which case I applaud you for one of the best troll threads in the history of the internet.

Reapers believe that there is a pinnacle of evolution, therefore, it has an end. By their understanding, it can't be infinite.

Also, it depends on what you consider to be "fact". All fact is, is putting faith in another man's words. Unless you experience it yourself, it can't be truly a fact.

Starchild is an out of control AI - doesn't make it a god. Whether or not I believe in God does not change the fact the ending was poorly written.

No, No, No.

Instead of making some type of egotistical response. I'd rather wait to see how you respond in ten to twenty years. :(....

I'll wait, you're worth it.
