Starchild is God now?

Those who accept an omniscient all powerful force without any proof are more likely to accept such a figure when it appears in fiction.

I tried to play my shepard as a hard line atheist (like myself) so I was very pissed when I was not given the option to ruthlessly bash religion at every opportunity.

Also, your faith in a higher power does nothing to negate the ****tiness of the ending, it still has no choice, it still makes no sense, It still abandons narrative coherency, and it still abandons the themes of the story.

EDIT: We must be careful to not go over the line, and be respectful to EACH OTHER, else this thread my be locked and all of us banned

If you believe in god, why did he let the Reapers do their thing for billions of years? The existance of Reapers disproves the existance of god. If anything the ending is Nihilistic. I have only read the first 2 pages mind you because OP failed to explain anything. Pretty much trolling in my book.

Isn't the OP the same guy who, upon beating the ending, was convinced it had been tailor made to his Shepard based on his decisions? It's okay, you're still trying to deny it.

We "get" the endings. They are still objectively awful.

Well, heroic fantasy games and literature are generally about white male heroes with messianic Savior complexes anyway. So, sure. Glad you understood/liked the ending.

I'm polytheistic and beleive in any number of Deities but none of them have cleared up the ending for me.

Is this a good or bad thing? I hope over 60,000+ players respond to this thread with their honest & genuine conclusion.

I roleplayed my Shepard in a unique view, therefore I understood the ME3 ending. Does that make me a monster or a saint?

Did I understand why the normandy crashed? No. Did I understand how shep got back down to the surface of earth? No. But did I understand everything else? YES, to the highest degree. I've only seen the ending two times.

If you're a religious man, you of all people should not buy the ending.
I've stepped away a bit from relegion, but I don't think the person up there would want me to fuse with my calculator (green), destroy everything His people have become dependant on in their struggle, like Relays and Artificial Life, medical droids, medical ai's (red) or would want to have one of His people take control of something inherantly evil and merging him/herself with it (blue).

Furthermore, the BIble didn't end with the crucifiction. There were many stories afterwards explaining the event to have us see why it had to be that way. It gave context. Same goes for the Koran by the way. ME3 lacked any context at the end, no comparison there.

So yeah..even as somehwat of non-believer I can firmly say: Leave religion out of this, it's bullsh*t and a slap in the face of the people who believe ánd those that don't.

No religious discussion here, please.

End of line.
