Well man, I equip de SMG just for little moments when you may get in trouble with lots of enemies. If you have noticed it, I use the ultra-low-weight materials upgrage, so I only lost a 5% of power cooldown time.

Right you do know, ultra light materiels dosnt work right. its glitched, dosnt actually take any weight off.
But mantis is just......not good.
esp with a level 16

There are several problems here.

- Your Mantis isn't level X. It's very easy to get it there by spamming Recruit packs if it's your weapon of choice. That's the worst signal you're sending.
- You think that Ultralight works. It doesn't.
- You think you need a backup weapon on an Infiltrator. You don't. With a little forethought, you can always move to a hidden position, cloak, then reset somewhere safe.
- You're playing a Human Infiltrator, which is inferior to the Salarian and also is inferior to the Quarian on the typical White/Geth farm.
 - You aren't max level, and you're on the low end of the levels people won't kick you for on Gold.  This would be fine if not for the above issues.

Fix these things and you'll get booted less.

I'm just asking this question because this has happened to me a few times today, and it's kind of frustrating. It's being impossible to me to play because sometimes, a low level player comes, others, the host leaves, others I get kicked. C'mon guys...

protip:
1. Drop the smg
2. Get to 20
3. Buy a bunch of recruit packs to get your mantis to X. It's what I did
4. Don't waste time complaining on forums.
5. Then join gold games.

As a note

I find smgs not soo useless on gold, but on the other hand, i just started to use a tempest x and use one of the gazilliondozens of smg amps i keep getting instead of the avenger x as sidearm to my raptor IX (for which i regular get kick warnings from whiney naps that later get nowhere near my score)

Hvaing a microphone helps, together with ****ing at those that want to instantly kick you (also any lobby i join that wants to, i will not use equipment)

Hey bro you do know a mantis is actually a very respectiable weapon for a infiltrator right?  Sure it doesn't give off the glamor like the BW, Widow, Javelin or Vailant but it sure as hell still good to go for any sniper that doesn't have thos weapons yet.

No, the problem is that you're sending a bunch of signals indicating that you're going to waste everyone else's time.  A team with four solid players will save several minutes a run over a team dragging an anchor.  So people kick people with loadouts that fit the profile of an anchor.  More often than not, those expectations are correct.

The solution is for you to start sending the proper signals that differentiate yourself from bad players, not blame everyone else for reacting rationally.

Perfectly acceptable loadout if the team hasn't already got a Salarian Engineer.

Pretty much all of this. Gold is the highest difficulty where a single mistake can bring down the whole team and you should be on top of your game or you're just wasting your teammates time and that's the worst a person can do in an online game.

Also lose the spare shot capacity mod and use -anything- else that you have if you have it. Mantis got plenty of spare ammo and you shouldn't have any problems with it, there's tons of ammo boxes on all the maps. Penetrator mod would be ideal since Mantis doesn't have a penetrating ability on its own.

I actually prefer having one really newb teammate just so I can feel like the damn batman running around demolishing gold.

But I wasn't in that match. 

Also, as a general life lesson, when you come up to a group and say, "Why is this happening?" and they say "Because of these five reasons" the appropriate response isn't to argue with them. Your life will become much better if you follow this general life lesson.

What the hell do you think I used until I got a widow? A mantis X. And it took me about a day to get that from recruit packs.

I was once kicked in a gold lobby with AA 18. I was like WTF but then I noticed I haven't changed my weapon since a recent character change from Krogan Sentinel. I was still carying a Claymore

I kick people from gold matches (when I'm with my friends and need one more person) if I know damn well they'll get us all killed or if their tactics and setup is contrastive to the remainder of the team. If they're N7 level 1-5, I'll politely send them a message explaining that they'll be far better off on bronze difficulty up until they reach level 15 or so.

If I kick you and we're a team of biotics, and you're a lonely tech user with ammo and powers designed for tech bursts and harmonious use with other tech users, then it's not because I'm a troll or a mean person, it's because I want to ensure that both myself and you recieve the highest available chance of winning and recieving the large EXP and credits at the end. It's nothing personal or vulgar, I just want to make sure that everyone wins, I'm sure that another team will be looking for a person with tech burst-based gear for their own tech burst-based team, and I'm sure that both you and they would be better of if you were working together.

I do the same, if I'm searching for a match, if it's a team of techies and I don't have a tech class or supporting class, I'll leave so the place can be filled with someone who can fill the required role. You wouldn't join a team on an MMO as a DPS guy if they need the slot filled with a healer, there's not too much of a difference here. No offense intended if you get kicked even though you're level 200 or so.

If it saves them half an hour of their time, as well as their equipment, I expect they would. Besides, they're there for EXP and money, if they aren't garunteed to get it working with you, then they'll try to find someone who will give them a better chance of winning.

Someone is wrong in the head if they don't. Why would I want to waste 10 to 20 minutes of my time knowing that I have far lesser chance of actually beating the match and getting full amount of credits for it? All the reasons are very easy to fix and take just logical thinking or reading a few FAQs/manual threads on the forums.

Things like this do not mean you will fail. You can be perfect set for salarian infilitrator with widow X .. and still you can be **** which will ruin the game. You can be engineer level 1 and be useful. I've actually got most points with engineer 1, over infilitrator level 15 and vanguard level 10 .. sure, it was bronze, what I mean is in silver and gold you need decent build and very good cooperation. This is decent build. Not perfect, but decent .. and you can't judge the cooperation.

No one cares what you used its what the OP is using.  And maybe he's sinking all his credits into Premi/Spec packs and is the reason why he doesn't have a mantis X yet.

I sure as hell don't buy the recruit packs besides to test out the buggy store server before I go on my Spec Pack binge.

I can safely say I'm a very nice social player. I can also safely say that if I'm in gold and a level 16 infiltrater with a mantis that isnt upgraded to X joins, I would kick you too. Nothing personal. However that would be after I ask you to change character and/or weapon over voicecom.

He can still be a good player. He might be unlucky with the unlocks for example and do well with the setup he's chosen.
