I have a question about this encounter. There are only 2 Generals?
i have a situation that i want to confirm if it is normal for the game or if i have
something amiss
i killed the general in the market first. the journal confirmed that i killed him.
went to the alienage and killed that general.
my save game at the start of the alienage says i have killed the general in the market
but upon starting the palace i see that in my journal it says that the general is not
dead in the market. but the alienage general is dead. I went back to the market to look around and there is nothing there. just the dwarf army i used and the corpse of a general.
so i am asking those that killed the 2 generals. do they stay dead? is there a 3rd? what does your journal say
after you killed both generals?
i am getting swarmed bad at the start of the palace and wondering if its because a general is not dead
according to the game. or is it normal that the palace fight is really tough?

The palace fight is probably the toughest of the battles, particularly the one right inside the gate before the gate to fort drakon. Definitely call an army to help you, pick a side to march up then go back the way you came and march up the other side. This will allow you to reduce the swarming a bit. On the last leg of the cirs march watch for a trap and get some knockdown/stun on he big group of archers plus one emissary. It's really a pain.
The battle onside the gate is even harder a genlock alpha archer at the top middle step, two emissaries and two rows of archers protected by barricades. Finally, dragon and swarms of enemies flooding out of the fort. Like I said, this is a tough one.
As for the generals it might be a glitch, don't worry about it as it will only affect the halfway point battle against ol' archy. And the marketplace general is the easy one.
Good luck!

yeah, only 2 generals.
your party alone is probably enough for those 2, won't need reinforcements for it i think.
for the gate battle i recommend calling in Redcliffe soldiers or Dwarves as your allies.
for the final battle against Archdemon you'll want ranged allies. elven archers or your mages. mages probably better.

ok thanks.
the part i am having a tough time with is inside the palace. the one with the genlock alpha archer/emissaries and archers behind barricades. its just my party for that. no army to summon.
i find it almost impossible....people have posted they have soloed the game?
nitemare with a rogue, solo? no fogging way without resorting to god mode i say.

Yeah, the exact same thing happened with my quest journal. I went back to the market place, but it was empty.
So I just finished the game and everything was fine.

2 generals but there is a third. There is a rogue in the final castle maybe he doesnt have the title of general in the army but hes just as strong.
