That would be awesome since their is no real body option just give you're person a huge fat head. In mass effect also their was no body option. Maybe it has to do with clipping in cut scenes, don't know just a guess.

There is no such thing as fat in a Bioware game. Volus don't count because their home world has extremely high pressure and gravity that cause the body to look like that. They are physically fit for a Volus.

The only exception I will put to this is the Baulder's gate series and Jade Empire, mainly because I have never played through the games extensively.

The only explanation I can think of is fat is to hard to render. Baa-dum-paa

But seriously, I can't wait for DA:O, ME2, and SW:TOR!

It does ruin any option of making a 'Santa-Claus' esq character doesn't it?

Images of Santa Claus slaying dark spawn with a candy cane just flashed into my mind.

I'm sorry. In fantasy settings, only NPCs or villains can be fat. It's just not possible for a PC to be fate. ;p

My Dwarf Noble has a very fat face, but its covered by his beard so you can't see it too well.

You just invoked a rather nice and funny image in my head. I see the Krampus along side of him whipping monsters with branches and licking them.

You were an Alliance Marine, a military man/woman. It wouldn't make sense for you to be completely out of shape. I could understand a variety in different kinds of in-shape bodies, but fat? I can't see it. I live near a military base and half the students here are soldiers; while a select few look slightly pudgy, all are physically fit.

If I could make a chubby noble, I probably would. Not super fat, since they'd need to be in good enough shape to fight with finesse, but certainly a little heavier. A chunky mage could work, too. All that time spent studying magic, no time to work out. :P

Given that DA:O is a 'mature' game, I'm surprised that people haven't been clamoring yet for a [unmentionable parts] size slider the way Age of Conan made it.

Unmentionable parts?  What games allow me to choose the size of my vagina?

Why would the Grey Wardens recruit an out-of-shape obese person?

I'd say that there is no choice for body-type because of the armor. They made the armor specifically tailored to their pre-set body-types, and allowing body sliders would deform the armor.

This is because of armour clipping issues I bet. NWN had fat PCs, though.

do you really want to play a game with an overweight character that has to stop and take a break running into battle wheezing, bent over about to hurl. Sure it would be funny, but that character I'm guessing would be short lived.

While I don't want a fat character I'd like a character which looked more normal. Right now my guy looks like some sort of gym monkey.

Yea one of the few things I am dissappointed about in da is the lack of sliders.

Can't say the absence of a fat slider will be missed... But whatever floats your boat I guess.

I read in a science magazine that the gladiators, which I consider fighters, were often fat. If they got hit, it wasn't half as bad as if you got hit on the sixpack. Plus, the audience liked blood, and the fat could bleed alot and still be able to fight, since they "only" had flesh/fat wounds.
