Is it true that they're really that bad?
I hope someone who has the x360 version can answer it?

Thanks!:wizard:

I plan on getting the 360 version this morning. I've read reviews and they all say that regardless of hte version the game still looks extremely underwhelming, but I don't get why they scored the 360 version lower than the PC and PS3 versions. I understand the PC version getting better marks because of camera angles and interface etc... but I still think the 360 version should have at least gotten better marks.

That along with the possibility of player made dlc, made me rethink my Xbox preorder, think I'll pick up the PS3 version now

Those screenshots look like crap. Not because of the games...but because of the way they were taken themselves.

I have the 360 and PC version. The PC version does look better..but I've seen far worse games.

If you plan to get dragon age...graphics should not be a selling point...and if it is...good luck to you.

By nature, I'm a PC gamer. But with 2 teenage sons I've seen a lot of 360 games and DA is by far the worst one I've ever seen.

While the xbox 360 graphics are nothing to write home about,i know because i own the 360 version with 1080i HD graphics, these screen shots are for one not in HD and for 2 they are out of focus to intentionally look blurry.People who read this thread need to be able to see trolls and/or fanboys of a certain system to determine weither to believe them or not.

I'm a PC and 360 and ps3 gamer.

I can give you a list of 360 games that were worse.

Gun. Two Worlds. Risen. Need I go on?

I'm not going to say DA:O couldn't have been better...It could have.

But I think there is more to this game then graphics.

The game was surprisingly pretty on the PC. It looks a little weird sometimes if I just stare at a piece of armor or something, but I was pleasantly surprised with the graphics overall.

I can't say the same for the 360. After playing on the PC, the 360 graphics are just ugly. Ew.

True but you can alway make your PC stronger to give it better graphics then the 360.

I've played both the 360 and PC version...I don't see how one is "ugly"

The textures are a bit low quality...but the game is "ugly" when compared to the many other graphically superior games on both the 360 and PC.

But hey, whatever makes you feel good about yourself :)

My 360 graphics in HD on a Elite Plasma do not look as bad as those examples. Granted I am a bit underwhelmed with the Graphics but I love playing on a large screen with sound through the stereo. I do wish I could zoom out a bit more and had more quick selects for spells but there are work arounds like the left trigger to pause the game and use the wheel to select what you want to do. Took me a bit to get used to but finally getting the hang of it.

I play on a Samsung HDTV 1089i with my 360 and at first i admit the graphics caught me by surprise especially compared to other games in the genre on the 360 but after awhile the graphics grow on you and it gives the game an old school feel (IMO).The game is so rich with atmosphere, life, and great gameplay i honestly forget about the graphics at times.Im not saying there ugly but certainly not the best the 360 can offer.

PhantoMSouljaX, you're a lying schmuck. Rather than talk to me directly about the shots to validate if they are real, you instead flame me and spout ignorant crap. I have been working across groups to properly convey these issues in order to correct them.

They are in HD, and blurry, but not intentionally. The screenshots are 1080i on a 57" screen. They are not the best shots, I even asked people for advice on taking pictures of the 360 screens, but since I didn't get any, this is the best I could do. But you can see how Mass Effect and Kameo looked. And the textures on the Viking Ship should convey my point. I think most people in here are saavy enough to recognize that these were handheld shots taken of a screen and can adjust for that. But to say they are not HD is a complete lie.

If you truly have a 360 with 1080i, have you been to the Viking Ship yet? What did yours look like?

The viking ship is missing a piece on the PC version, too!  And the rest of it doesn't look very good either.

I am still having a GREAT time with this game, despite the lollipop trees (looking at Morrigan's cleavage kind of makes everything in the background fade away). Seriously, this is a great implementation on the 360 and it is definitely the best RPG experience I have ever had.

If that really bothers you and you have a PC that can run it, get the PC version. If you can deal with the menu wheel and the "substandard" graphics, the story is great, the performance / execution is great. I have 70+ hours in 6 characters.
