Dragon age 2 was bad enough by itself to warrant a no buy of DA3. This just reaffirms my position.

No. I will wait for player reviews before buying any game from EA/BW in the future.

ME does not, for me, influence my opinion of DA. The disaster of DA2 and what the DA Team does now influences my decision about DA3.

Even if they're different dev teams, you can definitely see some of the lazy design choices rub off on each other. The ridiculous Citadel fetch quests in ME3 are extremely reminiscent of the DA2 fetch quests you constantly get.
Overall, both ME3 and DA2 shared something in common; they were both a step down from their prequel. You can even tell that a lot less work was put into either of them than into ME2 and DA:O respectively.

I won't be buying Dragon Age 3 at release. Because I won't be buying it ever.
The ONLY time I will consider buying DA3 will be when it is on sale for around $10. But since it's an EA product it won't be on Steam, which means that sale probably won't happen for a few years after release. Thanks EA/Origin greed!

I have qualms about buying DA3 on release, but NOT because of ME3.
If anything ME3 might actually make me decide that they ARE going to make an effort to fix dragon age.

After DAII? And then the end of ME3?
Let me backtrack. Ignoring the failure of Mass Effect 3's ending, the game itself was well worth the money and time invested. IGNORING THE ENDING. Everything up until the last 15 minutes was brilliant.
I've been a fan of BioWare since NWN way back when. My avatar is homage to my very first RPG character back in 1997. *salute* I played through all of the KotOR games, Jade Empire, Baldur's Gate... every game that BioWare has released has netted itself my undivided attention.
I was, however, vastly disappointed by DA2. I liked the upgrade to the battle system, but relationships with your companions were a bit boring for me. I felt more attached to Aribeth post-Blackguard than I did to any of the companions in DA2.
Because of the disappointment of DA2 and the failure of the ending of the Mass Effect franchise, DA3 will be the first BioWare game that I do not preorder or immediately purchase upon its release. I will wait until the reviews have poured out and the price has dropped substantially. My faith in this company has... wavered.
I don't doubt the monstrously creative power of BioWare... I am wary of how easily they succumb to deadlines pressures. A fault of EA, perhaps? I'd like to blame it all on EA... but I remember the AWFUL ending of KotOR II. The remnants of audio brilliance are all that was left behind.

Not unless Bioware confirms the indoctrination theory. Only then will I think about buying it.

I didn't play DA2, don't intend on playing DA3.
Honestly, the more I sit and think on ME3, the more I really just don't want an EA product at all, much less a Bioware one.

Nah, I'll wait a few days, if the forum erupts in the sort of bile and hatred the ending of this game generated, I'll just keep on playing Diablo 3

Only if I hear they have new writers working on it. The writing of DA2 was some of the worst I have ever seen in a video game.

I will not preorder. I will play it, if Bioware makes a real effort to improve Mass Effect 3.

LOL - DA 3 - the Final Chapter .. $10 DLC for the final boss of the game on the disc..
yeah I'll pass. I don't care if its a different, they both are going to have the same overall design philosophy. Which is not about making the best game possible to sell.
yeah I'll pass.. might buy used though

I will probably get it, but I may not pre-order it or even buy it until I get a sense of whether they've learned anything.

I played part of the first Dragon Age, then had a tight budget due to going back to college for the second time. Well, that and having no time after that.
I've occasionally considered picking the first two up in a bargain bin to see what they were like. But honestly? After this, if they don't fix it and regain my brand loyalty, I may just go pick up the Assassin's Creed series and play that, instead.
