I am currently fighting my spouse on this question. I am a resounding yes - I love Dragon Age. He is absolutely not. He feels the EA/Bioware love affair needs to end before any more day one, or after, cash is spent on their games.

Well, my stand on DA3 is nothing to do with ME3 and everything to do with the clusterf**k that was DA2.

If DA3 heads back to DA:O styles, then I'll be on board. Otherwise I won't bother.

No. DA2 was crap enough already, never bought any DLC for it.

Do not like Dragon Age to begin with

There is actually a lot less fanbase crossover than people think.
Hardcore DA:O fans see ME as just another shooter.

I had zero interest in DA2 because of Hawke being forced on us but unfortunately bought into the hype as it was coming out and got it, have regretted it since day one. I have no interest in DA3 and the only way that will change is if we once again get to make our own character and most players are giving it amazing reviews.

DA3 is done by a completely different team.

That being said, I am ... uncertain. I usually get the Dragon Age games a bit later anyway. Will probably do the same with DA3, if not just getting it used.

Not a chance. I thought DA2 was a poor game and not just "poor by Bioware standards".

I will not but this has more to do with DA2 than ME3.

After DA2 i decided i was done with that series unless they put that Brent Knowles guy back in charge of it. I really didn't like some guy.. can't remember if it was Gaider or Laidlaw and how they conducted press interviews telling fans they were wrong for liking origins more.

Yes, yes I will. Bioware has a solid pedigree of games in its stable. There may have been a few 'wtf' moments in their history, but so does any long established game company out there. After the somewhat lazy affair DA 2 was, I'm pretty confident the next one will be a far better game.

I'm a hardcore DA:O fan, but errr... I play other games than straight-up rpgs. I do think that there are many DA:O buyers that don't necessarily like ME's genre, but not all certainly.

I didn't even play DA2 at release. I waited until it was $20 used on Amazon. I will do the same with Dragon Age 3 if I ever buy it.

Absolutely not, DA2 sucked, ME3's ending was a pathetic travesty.

Bioware have done nothing but insult their most loyal fans and hide behind PR bs and "artistic integrity" and have not admitted the fact that they f***ed it up.

I have zero trust that they can ever produce anything of worth again.

Todays PAX panel sealed the deal for alot of people...they got what they wanted alot of the problem is going away and with it alot of support and money.

They will have to live (and die) with the consequences.

The ME3 taint is settling in. BioWare is going to feel the pressure on this one, and 9.5 game reviewer shields are not going to save them.

I wasn't going to buy DA3 at release or otherwise after DA2. ME3 didn't help pull me back in the least, because Bioware rushing games is becoming a disturbing trend to say the least.

No, I won't be buying anything else from Bioware from this point on, I don't trust them as a story-tellers anymore (story and choice, or branching paths if you prefer, was why I was a fan in the past).

It really depends.  I'm going to look for word of mouth, whether the demo is good and things like that. Not trusting review sites, because they are just not critical enough of games these days (too many have been given an easy pass). I'm definitely no pre-ordering anything. I remain sceptical of DA3, but I don't rule it out if the game is actually a return to what Origins did best and an improvement. If turns out to be Bioware desperately trying to grab new fans with some gimicky gameplay and another mediocre story then absolutely not and I won't be buying anything else from Bioware/EA (DA and ME are the only products of theirs I was ever interested in).

I'm buying it as I love the Dragon Age series, but I am concerned about the quality of the game like some other gamers. Lately Bioware's games have felt 'rushed', just look at DA2 and ME3. Still great games... but again rushed. I don't understand why people won't buy DA3 because of ME3's ending... The game is being made by a different team, and the writers of Mass Effect have nothing to do with Dragon Age.

Nope (after DA2 I already decided not to preorder DA3, after ME3 I decided not to preorder any Bioware games untill they win my trust again).
