I loved DAO. BW churned out DA2 as if it was a different game series. If BW goes back to the DAO story and style, and if its any good, then I'll give it my money.

I sincerely doubt Bioware can pull another preorder from me ever again. However, if they manage to implement more appealing features than "not reusing assets" (please try harder, Pax panel) I may consider a purchase-- if the user reviews confirm Bioware managed to do what they claimed they would do. Iff.

If, however, the user reviews show Bioware has again failed to tell (which includes resolution) a competent story, then I have no reason to care if the studio even exists. Story is their raison d'etre, and if they can no longer do story then they're no different to me than any number of developers focused on churning out the next disposable chunk of pulp.

I kinda feel bad for the DA3 team. They've been working on all these cool ideas about how they're going to create a kick-a** game (which also makes up for their missteps in DA2)...and then BAM ME3 ending controversy!

Which is something totally out of their control, but they'll likely bear the brunt of the negative consequences.

When I heard about it was a short time before ME3 release. I was going to pre-Order it, then I played Mass Effect 3. The ending and what's happened on the forums was enough to change my policy to 'Not Pre-Ordering' it. I'll be playing Guild Wars and Diablo instead.

I had no interest in DA2 when it was coming out but stupidly bought into the hype and got it when it came out, still regret that. I have even less interest in DA3, the only thing that could get my interest in it up at all is if they allow us to create our own character again.

ME3 and DA3 have differernt developers, but the same publisher. Given that EA basically ruined ME3, I'm kinda suspicious about DA3. will probably check out the reviews first. or play pirated before buying .

Let's just say that I wasn't planning on getting DA3 after DA2. So no, ME3 didn't help DA3's case much.

I'll buy DA3 for Leliana and Morrigan will be in it. But that's about it. Unless BioWare saves ME3 ending with whatever trash DLC they can come up with, I'll never play their games for stories again.

BW will want to reedem itself from this major screw up, so there is a decent chance that DA3 is going to be high quality.



However i wouldn't be surprised if some archdemon came up with ''we made darkspawn kill humans, so humans don't kill humans'' BS.

DA2 was a total flop, and after how BW snatched failure from the jaws of success with ME3, I honestly believe that they could screw up anything.

I would love to, but buying Collector's Editions and pre-ordering them is a luxury for me.

Maybe 3 years after its release when it's selling for 40 bucks with every DLC included.

i won't pre-order i will buy if the gets good player review not game critic review. if is really good then i buy new. if is ok the buy used at barging price. if sucks i won't even rent it
