On both ME3's and DA2's merits, or lack thereof, the answer is no.

Yes. Dragon Age endings have always given me more closure.
I don't know why so many people are surprised by the ME3 endings though. Mass Effect endings have NEVER given closure and always been left up to speculation. This is not news.
What?
ME1: You kill Saren, Sovereign blows up. Very little room for speculation.
ME2: Collector base blows up/gets taken by Cerberus, huge Reaper fleet is coming. Very little room for speculation.
ME3: WTF JUST HAPPENED?
and ME3: You defeat the Reapers. Neither the ME1 ending or the ME2 ending end with any sort of hint toward the future. They're entirely based on the present. And defeating the reapers was the present.
No, big rainbow explosions does not equal defeating the reapers.
Let's look at each end specifically:
Destroy: Reapers killed, that much is clear. But it also "Destroys most technology"... does that mean the Quarians get killed too due to their implants? Is the fleet above Earth now going to just break and crash? Are the worlds that require tech to survive just going to all die now?
Control: "Control" the reapers, but how much control? Can they rebuild the relays? What exactly happened with Shepard? Is he some kind of Overmind, or is it just that the Reapers all share his way of thinking?
Synthesis: Fuse tech and organic... WTF DOES THAT MEAN?!?!?!?!
Additionally, now that the Relays are destroyed, what does that mean for the species of the galaxy? Will they be able to get home? Will they even survive? Will the Relays ever get rebuilt? Is spaceflight still going to be used, or is it basically useless now? Will the races ever see each other again?
And who survived from the citadel? Supposedly some of them got off, but who? Is Bailey, Aria, the councellors, or anyone we care about alive? Where did they go? Are they just stuck somewhere due to the Relays being destroyed?
And our squadmates. They're stuck on a random jungle planet. Does that mean that Garrus and Tali will just die? Does Tali's suit even still work? Is there any edible food on the planet to begin with? What about Joker? He can't survive without medication, so is he just going to die? Why was he running in the first place?
Speaking of Joker, why was the Normandy being damaged in the first place? Were all ships hit like that?
I don't know about you, but I never had this many annoying questions at the end of ME1 and ME2

But I will be very wary and go in preparing for and expecting the worst, as far as EA tampering goes that is.

Well that's not Bioware's fault in general, that has nothing to do with Dragon Age. That was one of many endings that they had been playing around with, however, people are expecting the endings to have these major closure type events, and Mass Effect has never done that. Don't get me wrong, I don't like the endings, but I'm not really surprised, nor am I thinking this is EA's trying to stick it to the consumers like some people are suggesting. Even if it is supposed to be a trilogy, I think people just really know in their hearts that this won't be the true ending to Mass Effect. They wouldn't just pull the rug out on such a popular franchise with no closure. I fully expect to hear what happened as a result of Shepard's actions in the next ME Universe type game.Skyblade012 wrote...

There is a difference between "no closure", and deus ex machina, more plotholes in the last 10 minutes than in the entire rest of the series, destruction of character traits, abandonment of themes, a complete tonal swap, abandonment of the main conflict, a sudden introduction of bad symbology into a literal scene, complete destruction of the universe, and some blatant ripping off.
Also, Mass Effect was always meant as a trilogy. Dragon Age was not. Part 3 should have had more closure.
The question should be more "After DA2 will you play DA3 at release?" Or even, "Will you play another game in the ME universe at release?" because these are the only ones with coexisting writers and ideas.

BioWare does have some very good writers, and putting up flat-out bad endings hasn't been exactly standard for their games. As down as I am on ME3's finale, the weight of experience prior to this suggests they'll manage to do a reasonably good job. As understandably vexed as many gamers are thus far, we should keep in mind how excited we were for ME3 before release, and why that excitement was justified. These development teams are doing some great and unique games. Cutting out on them for one bad ending is a little harsh.

Similar questions could be asked about the events of Mass Effect 1. But we know what happened because of your actions thanks to Mass Effect 2. And I'm sure that in the next game we'll find out what happened with most of the questions you asked. I wouldn't start complaining just yet.
