It's an old quote though, from about a month ago, prior to this article.

Is it?  I thought it was pretty recent because it mentions that she doesn't know anything about CEO Dr. Muzyka statements.

His statement is from at least 2 weeks ago now though, isn't it? I could be wrong about this... anyone have the date handy from when he made his statement?

Yeah, two weeks ago yesterday I believe.  So basically two weeks ago, at the very latest, she had no contact with BioWare.  That may not be horrible...

I was under the impression that these quotes are more recent.  The article was published today so if it was two weeks ago I don't know why they printed it today.  I'll confess that I don't know anything about online article publications.

Question is: Does she know what the ending looks like in the released game? Maybe she already recorded the real ending unknowing that it's not included yet.

Straws - I likes them.

I hope you're right, but what are the chances? :(

Whether or not its an old quote its content is unsurprising. I seriously doubt that they've managed to get past the "oh god, we've said we'll do something...what are we actually going to do?" stage yet. Or at the very latest the planning stage.

Consequently none of the VAs will have been talked to yet.

You guys do realize that if they did have her come in to work on dlc she wouldn't be able to talk about it right? Remember Seth green said a while back that he wasn't going to be in me3? Look how that turned out. Not saying there is ending dlc, but just dlc in general she wont be able to say anything until they announce it.

Weird, cause Mark Meer said he was scheduled to do more voice work for DLC in an interview before this.

Even so, 2 weeks isn't a lot of time for much to have changed since then, unfortunately.

True.

I'm taking this to strengthen both sides in different ways:
1) IDT is correct and no additional content is needed
2) This ending is the real ending.  BioWare screwed up ending so badly and they have no clue what they are going to do.

Seems like the only possible ways to take all of this (to me).  I can throw fuel to either fire...

Hale would be too.
But they're asking her if she's been specifically contacted to voice some new ending, and she has not.
These are two different things.

It's odd that they wouldn't know anything about the next DLC, because even if it's not ending related, the game still said there was DLC coming.

I guess all we can take from that is that IT was right or whatever craptacular Hammerhead mission we get was ripped from the disk as well (or they just got the voice acting done awhile ago).

Ever occur to anybody that maybe Bioware planned this.....yeah sure I know everybody has so-called "proof" that they didn't....

But if they planned this, then maybe all the dialog is recorded already.....

VA's have NDA's....

And Jennifer Hale even said in an interview that she has never played an ME game all the way through....

There's a possibility that she's not aware of the ending we got ....or if she is aware, then she has a NDA to not speak about anything she may know about what comes afterwards, and can only say that she is not scheduled for anything as of yet ...

Just a thought....

If it was all a part of the plan....

I think we can divide those remaining on these forums into two camps:

1)Those that have given up on Bioware.

2)Those that are clinging to Indoc Theory.

Come this Friday, one of those groups is going to get quite a bit bigger. I really hope it's the latter.

There are also a few who like the endings, I used to be one, but I don't think that they have quite thought the endings through yet. Or are in denial.

Maybe femshep will be voiced by Kathy Bates in any subsequent DLC

How about Yancy Butler.  Have femshep sound like she's been smoking since the age of 2.

Or Fran Drescher.  That annoying laugh will make the Reapers explode their own cores in an effort to end the agony.

I think all of the actors would get on-board if EA let BW do new endings, but that doesn't mean anything other than that they're not going to turn down any offers to do further ME3 work.

Honestly, Friday is it for me.  I'm clinging to IDT, but I just want something.

Lol the former group will get bigger, not the latter. Bioware already discredited that amusing theory. :P

Keep in mind that they may still need new VA for ending DLC but it would be further down the line. Even if they make an annoucement soon it would still take much more time to actually see this thing released. If DLC will contain new playable areas, new VA and things like that, there is NO WAY they could release this thing in April. Any required VA could be slapped together with same sessions already planned for non-ending related DLC.

I'm sidestepping that second part and focusing on the first part....Yes, I have a feeling if nothing comes from PAX, there is going to be a huge sway of IDT people to switch over to the 'given up on bioware' side.

They're not changing anything. They're "clarifying."

IOW, they'll add some extra text to their "HAI CONGRATS GUYS! U FINISHEZ AND R LEGEND! NOW BAI MORE DLC!" text box. Something to the extent of

"Everyone on the Citadel died, the Geth, newly liberated by you, died, Joker ran away when he saw the big boom and he crash landed on a mysterious planet, but EDI still died. The solar system was mysteriously spared. We hope this explains it. Please buy our next DLCs? Please? PLEASE?!"

oh cmon guys, it's only been a month with this huge backlash began, if they are changing the endings they can't just pump one out, they have to discuss how the new ending, changed ending should go so they'll be at the drawing boards. then they'll write the script for the ending, then theyll do line readings/recording sessions (that's when hale would be brought in if shepard speaks) during this theyll draw out scene set ups, then animate the scenes with the chracter models. then they'd need to polish and test for glitches (oh wait bioware didn't even do that with ME3 itself) THEN they could release it. you really think they'd get all that done in a month?

I wonder if they're switching VAs. Bioware has a lovely habit of simply not contacting the VA. Which is really just good business. I mean, why would you show someone who voiced a main character any amount of respect? Just like what's the point in calling Adam Baldwin to tell him he's not going to be reprising his role in ME3? It's not like he's a well known actor with a TV and Film career.
