Well you never know, maybe Hale has already recorded lines where Shepard has told the Catalyst to spin on it in various colourful ways and since she hasn't played ME3, has no idea why people are upset with this awesome ending.

Maybe.
Possibly.

....

Please. :crying:

Angry, stop with the tears! Look at you! You sound like Shepard in current "endings" - defeated and broken. We need you in the front line goddammit!

I didnt even realize that was The Angry One until you pointed it out.

How many BW games have you played?  Name one with a "twist".  They're not known for secret or M. Knight style endings at all.

Whoaaa....now you just lost me.

that's the one thing they are known for, their twists.  KOTOR, DA, etc...they all have twists.

Now ENDING TWISTS?  Well...I am not sure if these would be ending twists.  I don't think ANYBODY has done an ending twist like this so that's not really a good point.

It's an ending twist like M. Night Shymalan does.

Surprise!  It was never about Commander Shepard and stopping the Reapers it was always about the Catalyst, Synthetics, and Organics!!

Sound familar?

Surprise!  It was never about the 1700s-era village and monsters in the woods, it was always about a billionaire's attempt to avoid modern society.

Surprise!  It was never about Bruce Willis trying to treat a child who sees ghosts, it was always about Bruce Willis being a ghost and finishing what he needed to do on Earth before departing.

There is one major problem with those comparisons:

They all foreshadowed their eventually twist in subtle ways. Mass Effect 3 didn't foreshadow anything regarding the twist that would become the Catalyst. In fact, it did pretty much the opposite and told you over and over the exact opposite of everything that the Catalyst told you.

@Capeo

Are you serious? Haha....KotOR(Revan), ME1(Citadel/mass relays aren't Prothean tech, they're Reaper traps) ME2(Collectors are Prothean)....

And if you read my whole post you would see that I stated, I didn't expect them to do the twist at the end....nobody did....they've pulled twists in many games, just not at the end....

These twist may not seem significant now, but back then they were earth shattering.....KotORs twist is one of the best in videogame history imo....

You really need to look up what a twist is because none of the above count.  That's just plotting.  A twist makes everything that came before it in the plot wrong or misleading intentionally.

Jade Empire. The 'guardian' you spent most of the game trying to find, believing him kidnapped, turned out to be the one who murdered your people and has been trying to have you killed.

Meer will voice a Vorcha reading an Epilogue . At the end Blasto and Buban will storm the room and shoot the Vorcha.

Or to everyone saying no new endings, they could have just not contacted her yet, since writing, storyboarding, designing, rendering, and building new content takes time, and they don't want her to start reading lines before they even have the lines written.

Because god forbid getting a reaction this bad to endings they thought were good and frantically trying to fix them take longer than a few months.

So, this means nothing new, most likely text epilogue.

And if there is a new omega DLC in the near future, then it was cut from the game.

If they don't fix the ending I can promise this to myself. No more BioWare games or DLC's. No DA3. No ME3 squad mates. Nothing.

Good point, though I really don't think they need fan feedback for a new ending.
They created a story that is 95% brilliant to acceptable and 5% narrative horror, and that was only because it was an ending written without the input of the writing team.

Fan review is not required. Peer review is.

This just further destroys my hopes that the new ending will be any good at all.

"the new ending"?

So have we been told we are actually getting one and I missed it, or have you turned hopes into promises in your head?

Or Fran Drescher.  That annoying laugh will make the Reapers explode their own cores in an effort to end the agony.

Yeah I agree.  I don't think they need our help.  There are some very creative and well thought out endings by the fans, but the only ending I want is from BioWare.  I guess that's why I cling to the IDT because the current endings are just....:wizard:.....

I suppose your right.

Still though, things like this take time, and trying to ruch bioware, as some of the other posters here have done by jumping the gun so much, might just make them create a half-finished dlc that just makes the problem worse.

I will personally wati for longer than a month before deciding no new endings are comming, becasue from what I've seen from bioware compared ot other corporations, they are mvoing faster to adress this problem than any other company I've seen.

I don't specifically remember, it was an interview with Meer about the ending outrage, and he remembered that this has been done earlier.

oh, here it is.

"Obviously, if Bioware wants to record more dialogue, I’d be there. I’m
definitely scheduled to record more dialogue for DLC, but at this stage,
I don’t know what that will entail.”

The article was posted today.

As for Jennifer having 'secretly' recorded ending DLC--she mentions in the article that she's headcanoning the endings away just like the rest of us: However, she would be happy to oblige in the case that changes. Hale admits that regardless of whether she utters another word as FemShep again, she's pretending there's going to be more Mass Effect ahead because "I prefer to live in denial about it because it makes me too sad."

Pretty telling, imo.

Anyway, p. sure she's privy to the details of the plot in each game. Just because she hasn't played them does not mean she doesn't understand the story. I imagine she would be quite aware if she did voice work for an alternative ending.

But don't let the fact that she hasn't been contacted yet discourage you. She makes a valid point herself: these things take time. I wouldn't expect to see any ending-related DLC for a few months. Even then, I don't anticipate anything "new," but rather what they've been saying all along--they're going to provide us with "clarity" about the ramifications of the final three choices. Oh well. :/

He also stated he has no idea of what will happen. I really like the Broken Steel idea and its much better than the complete retcon people here are waiting for. But i doubt he knows much about this...

So much this. If they can just get the time and funds for it, THEY HAVE THE TALENT TO DO AN AWESOME ENDING. Maybe the various fan theories and discussions have sparked a few ideas in them, but I fully believe the team can make the ending match the rest of the game if they just TRY.

Really? Because to me it seemed like a month of double talk and stalling. Oh and don't forget "no negative feedback please"

If there won't be a new ending DLC announced at PAX, well... then BioWare is dead to me.

If anyone says the ending is great and dosent need changing/clarifying/adding to, clearly has no concept of writing or continuity. It's important
