In addition, if Ms Hale has been recording for an Ending DLC, she sure as heck wouldn't be allowed to talk about it!

I will personally wati for longer than a month before deciding no new endings are comming, becasue from what I've seen from bioware compared ot other corporations, they are mvoing faster to adress this problem than any other company I've seen.
Really? Because to me it seemed like a month of double talk and stalling. Oh and don't forget "no negative feedback please"
If there won't be a new ending DLC announced at PAX, well... then BioWare is dead to me.
trust me, companies who make products that get customer complinats ususally take months to take action. In fact, the more important the fix or recall, the longer companies seem to take. I remeber one story where a bunch of childrens food was recalled after they discovered a large amounts of toxins like arsenic was in them, about 8 months after they first knew about it.
So yeah, bioware saying that they are actually going to be announcing things and actually communicating with the fanbase rather than directing them to robocalls and endless transfer call centers is a real step up from the usual dead silence.

Of course they need fan feedback. If they didn't have fan feedback, they would still think the endings were great and everyone was happy with them. The Angry One wrote...

Or to everyone saying no new endings, they could have just not contacted her yet, since writing, storyboarding, designing, rendering, and building new content takes time, and they don't want her to start reading lines before they even have the lines written.
Because god forbid getting a reaction this bad to endings they thought were good and frantically trying to fix them take longer than a few months.
Good point, though I really don't think they need fan feedback for a new ending.
They created a story that is 95% brilliant to acceptable and 5% narrative horror, and that was only because it was an ending written without the input of the writing team.
Fan review is not required. Peer review is.
They also need specifics on what we don't like about them, and why. That way they know what to fix.
What they don't need is "... then Jack comes in and says 'F*** YOU!' and then she shoots this massive biotic blast at a reaper as it comes down on Shepard, and it blows a hole in the middle, then Grunt comes up and...." I've written my own take on the ending, as more a cathartic exercise than to try and give them ideas. I'm not sure that I would want them to use them, since I play games to see how the story plays out. (Although how cool would it be if they actually did decide to use an idea of yours?!)

10 bucks says the big announcement friday will be multiplayer DLC. Not sure what else they could that wouldn't involve the VA's.
Yeah, multiplayer DLC is almost a lock.

How are all these questions meant to be answered, if Shepard can't ask or be involved?
Maybe there is a new ending cutscene, one that (I would love) to last 10+ mins? Who knows.

There really doesn't have to be any new voice work to address some salient points about the ending, which is to simply illustrate how both my squad members made it to the Normandy in time for them to end up on another planet.
I love the endings, but when I saw both my squad mates walk out on the planet, even I thought, "what the hell happened there???"

The announcement on Friday isn't to announce "here you go, enjoy", it's to announce "here's what we plan to do". You don't need the actors, or anyone else really, to make that announcement. You just need the top level brass to make a decision. They probably don't have anything more than a rough idea at this point. Maybe a fully fleshed storyboard. But I doubt it's even got a full script.ahandsomeshark wrote...

She has said before that she doesn't even play the games, so she could have recorded the real endings already and not realize it.

Assuming that was true. It's not exactly a stretch to imagine something said one to one to a fan in a convention will be different to things said in a published interview.

That being said it's an old quote, from before the comments about listening and acting to the ending rage, so back then there might not have been anything in the works indeed.
All this seems to clarify to me, is that the Indoctrination theory that some fans have made, while very good - wasn't what they intented with the endings. Wether they pick up some inspiration from reading the theories and implement it later, that's to be seen.

Canon Shepard, period!
You know I figured since she didn't play the games, she wouldn't care that much about the character.
But it seems she does, since it makes her sad too. I guess actually being the character makes you attached whether you play her or not.
Makes me happy and sad at the same time.

And a trilogy should finish the story without any plotholes... but we got really big holes....
