Been a long time coming for EA.

edit: I wanted to add that this prize has to do with EA's awful business practices and not with the talented people at Bioware.

As bad as EA is I still think Bank of America is worse, and they do raise a point I don't think anyone in the United States is hated more than BP.

Really people?

One company directly contributed to tanking the US economy, and then got your tax dollars as a bail-out.

The other **** out DLC for video games.

If you voted for EA on this you are no longer entitled to have an opinion on anything.

I dont live in the US so it doesnt mean anything to me.

Anyone that thinks this happened JUST because of ME3 obviously doesn't play very many games or keep up even slightly with the industry. EA is the BIGGEST culprit of stripping things out of games and then forcing us to pay. Tiger Woods 12 ring a bell to anyone?

lol if someone is stupid to buy a sport game clearly he deserve what he got. I've bought most of EA main release (other than Sport games) and they were decent to good. Activision has a way worse line up than anything EA could ever dream to achieve.

EA's response; courtesy Kotaku.com

I like how they're all "And besides we have gay characters we're so awesome and tolerant please love us lololol"

Just the way they said it seemed like both a shield and a sales pitch to me for both TOR and ME3, both highly controversial games with a lot of hate.

You completely miss the point. Its not about games we dont like, its about the many companies they ruined. Stop making this a 'I didnt like an EA game they are the worst company ever boohoo' thing. Its not. They are genuinely a horrible company deserving of this reward. Name one company Activision ruined? Oh wait, nevermind, Activision is already a subsidiary of another company, Activision Blizzard.

I live in the US and yet BofA is a bad company that is hated but it has not affected me other than my tax dollars. now for EA it has been ruining games I love for the past 10 years Mercs, Tigerwoods, DA, ME, and the list goes on and on. BofA is a bad company but everyone knows that now placing EA in the Yellow Light shows the rest of the world what kind of nasty unregulated BS we passionate gamers have to deal with. I would put Activision right up there with EA.

Sports game or not, stripping over half the golf courses from the game and forcing themto be bought is not cool.

To everyone saying BOA is clearly worse.... Realize a lot of what happens is a result of poor management combined with mistakes in a system that is really too big to manage properly. (Too big to fail should mean that it's too big to exist)

Compared to EA whos shenanigans are done intentionally to screw people over. Really that is why EA is worse. Everything they do to ****** people off is done intentionally to do just that. BOA is more of unintentional or poorly calculated decisions.

I voted for EA for 2 reasons.

1. BofA didn't force me to take another mortgage on my house. And no i cannot understand families that take this decision. My house is my house and i wont mortgages on it . I can't jeopardy my family feature . Basically BofA is bad because they're customers where/are Greedy .

2. When i have time now and then, usually i play games. I like Bioware and what they used to do. I had a problem with my preorderd ME2 , as in there where no Cerberus codes. EA support basically told that i have to pay an extra 15$ for the online pass. Also many other games. Also Origin.
And more important i hate the fact that EA instead of letting the studio's doing they're jobs send the freaking marketing team in to establish the release dates and all just so the board can have they're targets fullfullied and get the check for them.
TOR fiasco, they should have done KOTOR 3 instead and sell it as a stand alone game with DLC's also .EA suits failed to understand that WOW is a social platform and few players try new MMO's. It's enough for 2-3 player from each guild to try it and have a bad experience and you can be sure that the other 40-60 guys won't even try the demo .

Regarding the EA response, they sure did got the attention of the shareholders . I wish them luck and Great Success ( read it with Borat accent pls) .

I will buy again from them when they will deliver quality like in KOTOR I, when a 10$ DLC has at least 5 hours of gameplay and most important when they will support Modding like Bethesda does.

You can seduce reports, review sites and anything you want, but not the games anymore. We had enough. Anyway, congratz! Almost a decade of brilliant effort to ****** off almost every single customer and you finally did.

this, banks in general in this country are a mess because government oversight slacked off in the 80s and 90s allowing mass integration both horizontally and vertically.

EA got here by continuing to stick their heads in the sand and not change bad practices.

Granted, Bank of America has destroyed companies and people's lives and continually been a thorn in the recovery of the world's overall economic systems.

That said, I love the fact that EA won the award, it's about time that the consumers stepped up against corporations that aim to line their pockets with our hard earned money and not deliver what they promise or worse believe they can deliver what they want and that it has to be accepted.

Oh well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad for EA.

Destroying companies? Origin Systems, Maxis, Pandemic Studios, Bullfrog Productions. Yep they destroy companies.

Destroy peoples lives? See Destroying companies. Also $60 a game, 20+ games a year plus DLC. That's a lot of money people can use for other things. Yes people can make better choices but EA (along with most of the gameing industry) are just taking the consumer to the Bank (of America).

In a nutshell, BioWare is living on borrowed time.

Can't help but think of Ray's blog entry where he pretty much said "Please stop being mean to Bioware.", He knew the minute they sold themselves to EA that the company they had created would be destroyed, not sure why he acts like he cares about anything else than money.

Come to think of it, theres no games coming out by EA. this will make not purchasing their things even easier. Also, people expect bankers to be slimy, but not game companies.

BioWare wasn't purchased, the holding company that had BW and Pandemic was bought out from under them
