Hey don't blame it on us. We're just a "small vocal minority"!

You are a small vocal minority, you're assuming that everyone who voted only played Mass Effect 3 when EA publishes countless games.

they should be butthurt the only problem is we cant get the reaction that netflix got after that stupid business decision a few months back.

netflix business decision wasn't actually stupid. it was forced on them by cable companies who are seeing their business model destroyed by netflix, so they shot up the prices for their content to the point netflix couldn't afford them. Now in an ideal world the FCC would have gotten off thier asses and stopped that but they're still trying to figure out how to connect to the internet so instead netflix gets mass PR backlash the and billion dollar cable companies get the consumers to do their dirty work for them.

^ This.

Stop thinking you're a precious snowflake and this is all about you. EA isnt the worst company ever because you didnt like ME3. Really, it isnt. If you think thats the extend of the problems we have with EA I hope you stay in your bubble of ignorance because it seems like a very happy place.

So basically they only took votes from re-takers.

I'm not even trying to get into a nerd pissing match but did you not follow the game industry  before 2007?

EA has been the bane of small developers for years. Everything from buying them just to reduce competition then dismantling them and  to sitting on their licenses even while they were losing money, to rushing games, to the absurdly anti-competitive deals they've worked out with the NFL and college football. EA has been one of the worst faces in gaming for over a decade. It's only in 2007 that some of the heat died down because 1. Activision and Kotick started showing their asses and 2. EA got a new CEO unveiled this new buisness plan of partnerships with Developers that produced for a few years before they did a 180 back to their ole ways.

Really people?

One company directly contributed to tanking the US economy, and then got your tax dollars as a bail-out.

The other **** out DLC for video games.

If you voted for EA on this you are no longer entitled to have an opinion on anything.

As much as I'm an 'EA hater', I have to agree. They aren't even in the same league.

The bracket was totally fixed. Why were there no major US airlines in the tournament?

For people upset with the result, keep in mind that as runner up in the event that EA gets sick, injured or otherwise incapacitated, Bank of America will inherit the crown. Also, if compromising pictures of EA show up in some tawdry tabloid, they might strip the title and give it to BoA outright.

This is pretty cool...

That said, EA is small-potatoes evil compared to Bank of America. Bank of America is like the first man off the bench for the Dream Team of evil. EA is more like the Shane Battier of evil, a solid player sure, but you don't put him up there with the greats.

Damn I have always hated EA but it's more evil than BofA? Hell no.

You guys need to stop hating on BofA. I invested 10k in BofA when their stock was circling the drain and more than doubled my money when I sold a few weeks ago. AFAIC that's worth a lot more than some faceless people losing their homes that they couldn't afford in the first place. EA is the real monster here, they've made people's lives worse AND never made me any money.

1) EA is not the worst company in America, 2) they ARE the worst video game company in America, 3) their response that they don't believe they're wrong and that 300 people just love and adore them is both insanely arrogant, it's hilariously wrong.

For a fan poll, it didn't matter; EA DID destroy a few lives (I work in the industry... I know plenty of people EA's business practices ruined their studios and sent them to the bread line), but not worse than Bank of America.

For the silver lining, EA won... congrats. Now get your head out of your rear and start making improvements.

Seriously, right or wrong, if 250,000 people just voted you the WORST company in America, you are NOT doing things right.

yeah the only explanation I can think of is that BoA really isn't that much more evil than other major banks. Banking as a whole is just a hot mess. They should have their own category.

Where as there's no one really on EA's level in terms of evil done + market share (like capcom is evil but they're also virtually irrelevant in the larger view of game publishing)

As a game company, without a doubt, Activision is a close second, but EA take the biscuit when it comes to rushing games and changing them as they see fit. And that post by salty waffles is bang on, thank God they didn't get their hands on Take-Two a few years back, we'd be having yearly additions of GTA, Red Dead, LA Noire etc etc.

Not going to say EA is worse than BofA, but EA's problems go beyond just DLC or rushing games. Many companies were bought by EA and shortly after that made extinct. Not to mention questionable customer treatment.

I think Bank of America is worse, but I'm kinda glad it did get first place. Maybe this will help convince EA and BioWare that the Mass Effect 3 endings helped sour people's opinions of the company and think about fixing things.

This is partly true, many people and i know 1 at least lost their home because they bought it, but couln't really afford it. It is common in North America to buy things you can't afford, you see it all the time with people buying electronics, cars, houses, vacations etc. Just look at how many college students are in debt because they misuse credit cards.

Ugh, again someone pointing out Activision. The previous people didnt answer me after I asked this: Name me one company Activision ruined.

Its not about the games they produce that we dont like, its about the companies they ruin and the thousands of people that have been put out of a job by EA, purely out of greed.

To be honest, I personally don´t care about BofA, because I´m not from America. So unlike other People, I voted for EA (sounds stupid I know, but I don´t even know BofA and so I don´t have any personal experience with them. But I do know EA pretty well, that´s the bottom Line. And I think I´m not the only one).

This is officially the dumbest thing I have seen on the internet in quite a while.

Seriously guys, if you think EA DESERVED to win this, you need to get out more.
