It's difficult for me to agree with the results. When Bank of America really sticks it to someone the effects can be devastating to the person's entire life. EA's business practices just tend to really ****** off consumers. I think the magnitude of effect is too overwelming to even compare. Perhaps there is an argument to be made when comparing these companies to similar companies in the same category.

All that being said, I'm not surprised at all that EA would win, because it seems logical to me that the people that would find that poll would have more interaction with EA than BofA and thus choose EA.

Really people?

One company directly contributed to tanking the US economy, and then got your tax dollars as a bail-out.

The other **** out DLC for video games.

If you voted for EA on this you are no longer entitled to have an opinion on anything.

We've all heard about how bad the banks are for years, ever since the start of the financial crisis. We get it, so why don't we highlight another company rather than going for the obvious choice? If you're so butthurt over the vote go sit in a tent and blog about it.

Lets just ignore the economic downturn and the fault of the banks in that, oh no lets just ignore that because a publisher gave me a mediocre ending to a game.

They have some pretty unsavory business practices, they weren't in the running because of the games ending but more for their micro-payments and breaking of parts of completed products to sell later.

If there is any lesson to be learned it would probably be this:
F*** with people's lives all you want, just don't ever f**** with their fantasies.

You forget the day 1 DLC, use of stock photo's from internet, Dragon Age 2, Dragon age 2 DLC, Sims, kicking out Wright because you want to mil the Sims, charging insane amounts of money for some digital furniture in the Sims, should I go on? Just the first things that come to mind.

Oh yeah, Fifa 12. An unfinished product with the worst physics engine ever. Same for your Madden, I guess.

They fully deserve this, based on their consumer strategy of the last years. At a certain point, the people will snap, like what is happening in WOW right now. Losing millions of players.

I find it strange James Cameron didn't see John Riccitiello when he went down with his submarine. I mean...has EA sunken even lower then that?

I didn't forget. It just doesn't matter. Other game companies pull this garbage too.

No, what prompted this is Mass Effect 3's ending, and it's goddamn ridiculous.

Anyone who voted EA over Bank of America is just... downright mindblowing retarded.

And that's putting it mildly.

Again, EA did far more and worse than one bad ending. Also, not everyone who voted in that poll is actually from America and knows who or what the BofA is, while they do know EA.

I think this is relevant, a corresponding forbes game blogger analysis:

http://www.forbes.co...erica-now-what/

Once again, he gets it right; a silly little self-voting internet poll won't do a damn thing to EA...the only way to punish them for their habit of butchering the medium of videogames is to starve them of our money.

I am not holding my breath though...

Get real people!

It's a silly contest and not the World Cup. It's funny and accurate in its own context.

If people tried this on a widely-known news service, the outcome would be different. If you can't see this, you're blind.

Get off your high-horses and take it for what it really is instead of what you want it to be (just so you can have your pointless crusade against a pointless enemy).

Let people have their laugh already.

I believed it would have been closer, a tie.

Still, 3 color options was epic. This shows EA's treachery in destroying the video game industry has finally gone too far.

Of course BoA deserve to win more. I didn't vote, but if I had I would have voted for them.

But now that EA actually won we might actually see some improvement.

And to all fellow Europeans: we are also affected by BoA's ****ty practices.

I dont have an account with Bank of America (and have yet to become a home owner), my only experience is with EA, so I went with the evil I knew.

its all perspective

BofA is responsible for the home foreclosure mess and part of the banking problems but so are the consumers that get loans that they know they can pay of. BofA may have underhanded practices but that doesn't negate the stupid finance decisions that people make when in taking out the these un-payable loans.
Also something like banking laws and foreclosure practices are almost impossible to change at the consumer level, its far easier to get EA to change than it is to get BofA to change.

People just want their voices heard, far easier to do with EA than BofA, so just chill out.

There are other ways to fight a corrupt banking system. Go out on the street, make a change.

A poo award is for fun and not very prestigious. YOu really think bankers give a damn about that kind of award? Everyone knows people hate bankers.

Grow up, seriously. EA deserved it.

EA should win in my opinion because while BOA did wreck lives, in perspective EA has been trying to wreck the entire industry. Think of it like this:

If BoA was a bank, within a year they would be in talks for a partnership with EA or even worse, bought out by them. If EA was a bank, we'd all be in tremendous debt with exorbitant fees while getting new fees added on the longer we have accounts there.

It's the 'worst company in america' and from a pure business sense, EA has mistreated its customers and the field in which it works far worse than BoA (once again, using the comparison if both companies were in the same field).

Don't forget that they have greenlit Bioware doing clarification and closure DLC.  In other words it akin to polishing the turd on that cushion.  Its not going to make things look better, Its not what the fans want, its going to be messy.

I think it's funny EA got it. Other people are more deserving, but it probably HURTS EA MORE to receive this than it would have hurt BoA.

Everybody knows about BoA. EA isn't even on a lot of people's radars.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure BoA doesn't give a crap about stuff like this.

Congratulations, EA!

Wow. Get your priorities straight guys. EA made a bad game ending, Bank of America has destroyed people's lives.

BofA has been evil for years. People still do business with them that says more about them than BofA.

They made their bed, now they have to lay in it.

Stupid is as stupid does.

They lack the mental capacity not to screw themselves over so why should I care.

Bank of America - Illegally forges documents for the sole purpose of kicking innocent people out of their homes so they can seize them and re-sell them for profit.

EA - Maybe makes developers rush games so they're a little less stellar than gamers would like.

EA wins by more than 20%

Gamer logic wins by more than 9000%
