 Really!?

Bank of America Vs. EA

Company that swindled millions of dollars out of people and was partially responsible for America's finacial colapse VS. game company that just sucks becuase they stiffle bioware!?

and EA gest 64% of the vote!!!

Now I am no fan of all the crap EA pulls but this is like comparing Osama bin Laden to martha stewart!

You should read some of the posts here, banks are supposed to be hated and they know that they are, it means more if EA "wins" banking is already broken, we can still save gaming.

This is Consumeriest. Get a grip all you "BoA should have won because it's so much worse". It's for kicks and grins. Why is that so difficult to understand?

If you don't know whether to laugh or cry, always err towards laughing.

Oh I am laughing

People freaking out about EA winning on this silly poll need to start using their forgotten organ that sits three feet above their ass.

Traditionally, the Poo has been delivered on its little red pillow. But
this year, we'll give EA three different color options for its pillow,
though in the end it's still the same old Poo.

This made my day.  :D

Oh, and inb4 thread gets locked.

Lol... EA bought Pandemic. Mercenaries was a great game. If you buy Mercs 2, guess what. You can't even play single player because on start up, the game auto searches for online EA servers that don't exist, and it freezes everytme for everybody. The game is to this day is litterally unplayable. Never a patch. There is a pain in the arse workaround, but game is dead out of box.

LOL. Well done, Consumerist. Well done. EA deserved this award. And if you think it's just because they screwed up a video game ending, then you're oblivious to all the horrible acts EA has practiced over the years. This type of award has been a long time coming.

Oh look, someone with common sense in this thread.

It doesn't matter who wins this award because it doesn't change the fact that these companies have done bad things. Trixie is glad this competition does exist though. It raises awareness.

Really though, this poll doesn't really do anything.

To quote from the Forbes article:

But it doesn’t work for consumers to yell “I hate you!” as they hand over their cash

Yelling and screaming will only get us so far. refuse to be nickel and dimed!

BofA is angelic compared to Goldman Sachs.

If you judge them by their respective "intra-industry suckiness" then EA wins by a landslide.

An internet poll isn't going to make BofA change anything, things like Occupy and putting your money elsewhere will

Apparently I should have put more MEMEs and smilies in my post to indicate that I was not serious and just amused that EA won...

Of course now looking back at the 5 pages before me I can see where you could get me confused with someone who is actually upset by it.

That is nothing short of pathetic. A video game company is now considered worse than an overgrown, evil financial company who came this close to crashing the entire world economy. Wow!

Anyone who voted EA over Bank of America is just... downright mindblowing retarded.

And that's putting it mildly.

I was not aware of BofA issues, I'm from the UK, why do these issues always have to boil down to America, what makes America so special on a planet filled with many diverse cultures.

Its just a shame that such an infamous award will not reflect that much on their fortunes. Perhaps if the award got more publicity it might prompt them to comment on it, but I doubt it.
Like the Razzies™ to the hollywood film industry, I think the guilty like to pretend they haven't seen or heard of such awards.

Because BofA was so much more integral to the economic collapse than Lehman, Bear Stearns, or Goldman Sachs.

Oh wait, it wasn't.

Bank of America - Illegally forges documents for the sole purpose of kicking innocent people out of their homes so they can seize them and re-sell them for profit.

EA - Maybe makes developers rush games so they're a little less stellar than gamers would like.

EA wins by more than 20%

Gamer logic wins by more than 9000%

Bank of America *is* worse. This is ridiculous.

EA - a video game publisher - beat out a bank that really does destroy lives because Mass Effect 3 had a crap ending (and let's face it, it's only because of ME3's ending).

This whole reaction went from embarrassing to something far, far beyond that. I don't even know.

You forget the day 1 DLC, use of stock photo's from internet, Dragon Age 2, Dragon age 2 DLC, Sims, kicking out Wright because you want to mil the Sims, charging insane amounts of money for some digital furniture in the Sims, should I go on? Just the first things that come to mind.

Oh yeah, Fifa 12. An unfinished product with the worst physics engine ever. Same for your Madden, I guess.

They fully deserve this, based on their consumer strategy of the last years. At a certain point, the people will snap, like what is happening in WOW right now. Losing millions of players.

I find it strange James Cameron didn't see John Riccitiello when he went down with his submarine. I mean...has EA sunken even lower then that?

No, grow up.

BoA screws you over you lose your home, EA screws you over you have hissy fit about a video game which is a hobby.
