As long as this thread is still somehow on the front page, I'll repeat it for emphasis:

Ham stack carrying a gun clothed in human flesh.

I don't feel he has any features redeeming enough to make up for the fact that he's a bad caricature of a racial archetype voiced by a white guy shoehorned into the series at the last minute with 0 notice in order to cater to the tastes of a new (and totally irrelevant) demographic. If he flew out the airlock screaming it'd probably take my Shep about 1/3 of a second to get over it.

FP Jr is a recognizable face. ME fans would have been very critical...maybe not as much as Jessica Chobot but along those lines.

Isn't the Chobot hate because she comes off as more wooden than a tree? She can't act, period. Sure her character model that's supposed to look like her looks more like Snookie, but I still don't think Vega looking like Prinze would've drawn much heat. Certainly no more than the current juiced up ****** Vega character model got.

I found myself wanting to kill him. Vega, Kaiden, Jacob and Thane all annoyed ne to the point that I only spoke to them when forced.

I liked that he kept trying to keep my Shep from having too big of an ego. I liked him from the beginning for that, but there was no way I was going to let him call my Shep Lola. If he had picked something else, it might have been a welcome change from "Commander."

I love this character, he is so light, fresh and surprising. When everything around was so serious or sad, chat with Vega was true fun. I hope to see more content with him and i really wish he was an LI.

As a character, I was starting to warm up to him. But then he kind of vanished completely from the plot, and I forgot he existed until the end of the game. He needed more fleshing out in my opinion.

Should have been Coats as the new Soldier Squaddie. Professional British soldier, remembers Protocol, but still has a sense of humour. Consider this

Coats: 'So, the bear picks up the rabbit and wipes his arse with him'
Garrus: '...'
Coats: 'You don't get it?'
Garrus: 'Ummm, no.
Coats: 'Christ almighty, don't you Turians have a bloody sense of humor? Okay, we'll try somthing simple... Why did the chicken cross the road?'
Garrus: 'I don't know?'
Coats: 'To get to the other side'
A slight pause, then Garrus bursts out laughing.

Nope. I think I hate him even more. The way they make Vega use his one word spanish sayings like chico, loco and such are terrible. It's like watching a comedy film with one black guy.

As a spanish person I found it offensive.

I'm sorry to say, but no.
He seemed boring prior to ME3's release, and he seemed equally boring after it.
He's kind of the red-headed step child of the crew. Which is fitting, because he's kept down in the basement.

Vega is alright... not my favorite character, but doesn't deserve the hate he is getting either.
Coats though, wish he was flushed out a little more, with his big trailer and everything I expected a lot from his character, instead he only showed up for a couple minutes at the end.

I liked vega alto, I really enjoyed hims as a character. I saw him as a rouge copish type person. Reckless but trying to do what he thought was a great idea at that moment.

Considering what happened with him and the collectors, he probably has a lot more issues than he's actually showing, to me he was hiding from the fact that his bad call killed those colonist for nothing and was eating him up inside.

So yeah, the situation he is not.

That was halarious, almost makes me want to have coats as a dlc. But I don't think I could take his battle cry of "I was born in london!!!"  it'd be almost as bad as "I am krogan!"
